Ever find yourself sitting on your couch, staring at your Netflix queue, and wondering if there’s more to life than rewatching The Office for the 37th time? 

I have – too many times to count! One night, I finally decided to get myself off the couch and dragged some of my friends (AKA teammates who happen to like me a little bit) to check out the Portland night scene.

And you know what? It was so worth it. From discovering speakeasies to “accidentally” joining a midnight donut run, our nights quickly became more fun than boring. 

Based on our adventures, here are the best things to do at night in Portland– and trust me, if a potato like me can find fun after dark, you definitely can too!

If you’re looking for a treat in Portland at night, you should definitely visit the famous Voodoo Doughnut. Pro-tip – if you want to avoid the long queues at this joint (the place is pretty popular), go around 9:00 PM.
