Beyond their awards, what stood out to us was their IICRC-certified team. The team members are trained to use only the best tools and techniques to provide flawless carpet care. 

One customer hired them for pain stain removal and stair carpet treatment and was delighted with the beautifully restored carpets. 

Another notable aspect is their professionalism and accommodating nature. A customer who needed a repair patch testified about the team’s communicative and prompt attitude, which made working with them easy.

However, there are few concerns to keep in mind. Some customers have reported inconsistent quotes and unsatisfactory results. 

One customer who hired them before moving out ended up paying more than the initial quotes. Additionally, some stains were not fully removed, requiring a different company’s service.

When it comes to pricing, we think their rates are fair. They even offer a 15% discount for those who drop off and pick up their own carpet. 

Ray-Burt’s is also known for its professional and transparent communication. They work closely with customers to bring the carpets to their desired form. 

That said, few customers were unsatisfied due to some stains that weren’t fully removed. Hopefully, the company will improve its consistency in delivering quality work.

Alameda Carpet & Upholstery Cleaners impressed us with their all-around expertise in carpet, rug, and fabric care. 

If you’d like to restore your whole living room set, you can throw in a few of your chairs and couches together with your carpet, and Alameda’s team will fix them for you. 

We were also intrigued by their premium MicroSeal fabric protector, which they’ve developed for over 40 years. While optional, it’s a great choice for those who want their carpets to have added resistance against fire, soiling, and static electricity. 

When we talked to their customers, we heard a lot of praise for how the team takes special care of every space in the house. One client said their moth-infested Moroccan rug was well-repaired with an added moth treatment. 

We also appreciate their transparency. One client who needed sticky residue on their carpets removed said Alameda’s technician still did their best even though they were honest about how unlikely it would be to remove everything completely. 

However, we think they need to improve their response times. Some customers have experienced delays of up to two weeks for emails and calls.

One client who received an unsatisfactory result was offered a redo, but their technician could only come back after a week. This pushed him to hire a different company to finish the job.

They are straightforward with their process and pricing too. You even get a discount if you drop it off and pick it up yourself. If you have two large rugs that need cleaning and repair, their crew will come to help move furniture and return your rugs after two weeks.

However, the turnaround time can sometimes take a bit longer than expected. There was also one issue with the rug pad used after the repair, as it shed bits constantly. Fortunately, the company was able to replace it.
