One of the reasons we added Luxe Event Productions to our list of top wedding planners in Portland is that it offers inclusive services. 

Way back in 2009, before same-sex marriage was legalized, Luxe already catered to commitment ceremonies and welcomed all types of couples. 

We think that it’s important for LGBT couples who plan on getting married to have access to a wedding planner that is sure to be allies. Luxe Event Productions can provide you with a safe space to be completely yourselves. 

They specialize in throwing parties, which we think couples who plan on having the loudest, most unmemorable night would greatly benefit from. 

We also included them in the list because of their rich portfolio. You can tell that they have numerous experiences putting together various types of weddings. 

When we had the chance to have a chat with their previous clients, we got to see what they have to say about this event company. 

The overwhelming impression was one of satisfaction. A few of them also mentioned that they loved how Luxe was prepared for unforeseen circumstances such as changes in weather.

We think this is where you can see how much experience they have because of their ability to solve problems on the spot. 

A lot of the clients loved how they were able to provide a lot of recommendations. This is not just in terms of design for the venues, but also for the vendors.

They only do online appointments as of the moment – no onsite services. If you’re someone who needs to meet your wedding planner in person before you decide, they might not be for you. 

However, we do think that online appointments are quite convenient, so we suggest not writing them off just yet!

There is an option for those who want to be hands-on with their wedding planning and just leave the coordination of the actual wedding date to the professionals. 

This event company also offers an option just for event coordination, design consultation, and management on the wedding day. It seems that this is their most popular package.

Additionally, they have a package that includes the same things as those in the previous one, with planning being an additional service. 

Lastly, they have the ultimate package that has full-service planning, event coordination, design, styling, and management. 

We found that different clients liked different packages depending on what works for them, so it’s best to choose which one resonates the most with you and your partner. 

While trying to learn more about Your Perfect Bridesmaid, we learned that they’re also quite transparent with their fees. 

They provide breakdowns when asked, so you don’t have to worry about trying to think about where they’re all coming from. 

When we talked to several of Your Perfect Bridesmaid’s past clients, we discovered that a lot of the couples loved how the wedding planner assigned to them was custom tailored for their needs.

This ensured that the wedding planner specialized in what the client wanted. 

A few also mentioned that they appreciated how Your Perfect Bridesmaid scheduled everything up to the last detail. They also include meetings in their scheduling so everyone is up to date on everything. 

However, some clients we talked to weren’t completely happy. 

They mentioned that there was a lack of communication on Your Perfect Bridesmaid’s part. Some said it was on the day itself, while some said that it was before planning even started. 

We think that Your Perfect Bridesmaid could improve on their communication because this is one of the important things that should be given focus when planning events. 

That being said, we still recommend Your Perfect Bridesmaid because of how much they put focus on the details when planning.

Keen Events PDX left a great first impression when we were just learning more about them. 

This is because they explain the complete process of their work, which we think everyone should do to manage the expectations of the clients. 

During the planning process, they promise to provide several services. This includes customized recommendations of venues and vendors. 

They will also provide a checklist, timeline, budget management, and other things to help everyone stay on course. 

Additionally, they will direct the ceremony rehearsal and cover the flow and details so everything can be done efficiently. 

They have other things included in their planning process, which they more thoroughly explained on their website. 

When we went out to have a chat with their past clients, most of them mentioned that Keen Events was extremely organized. We think it’s exceptional for a lot of clients to bring this up. 

We think this is because of the team’s attention to detail and communicative skills that help everyone stay in the loop. 

A lot of the clients also mentioned that Keen Events was able to solve any problems that came their way on the wedding day. 

It’s safe to say that the wedding planner behind Keen Events has great problem solving abilities, which is a skill all planners should have. 

If you want to be assured that your wedding will run smoothly, we don’t see why you can’t trust Keen Events. 

We’d like to point out, however, that their portfolio is not easily available on their website, unlike most wedding planners.

Bridal Bliss’ event planning services range from elopements and day of facilitation to full-service event coordination. 

After reaching out to them and sitting down with them for consultation, they will send you a proposal customized for both you and your partner. 

When we had the chance to sit down with some of their past clients, some mentioned that they are quite responsive. 

It seemed that they managed to answer questions no matter how many or how complicated they may be. We think that this is important because it can avoid unnecessary mistakes. 

It’s also reassuring that your wedding planner is always readily available. 

A lot of the clients also mentioned that the wedding planners at Bridal Bliss easily adjusted to changes such as venues, menus, designs, etc. 

It seems that they easily accommodated the needs of their clients without making the clients feel like their requests are inconvenient. 

We think it’s also important to mention that Bridal Bliss donates a portion of its profits to several charitable organizations. This could be a factor for people who are especially charitable and want to support companies that have the same values. 

While there are a lot of good points to highlight for this event planning company, we were also able to come across several clients who weren’t completely satisfied. 

There were some who we talked to who complained about their lack of attention to detail. 

This is in terms of contracts given to vendors and even when it comes to the wedding day itself. The latter is because the planner wasn’t able to ask enough questions, which resulted in the couple not getting what they wanted completely.  

We think this is important to address so that this could be considered when choosing which wedding planner you think would work best for you. 

Considering everything we found out about Bridal Bliss, we still think that they’re worthy of recommendation. 

This is because the wedding planners they have are flexible and great at communicating, which a lot of couples would find easy to work with.

When we hit up several of J29 Events’ past clients, what surprised us the most is how enthusiastic they are about sharing their thoughts about this wedding planning & design service company. 

So when we sat down with them, we learned a thing or two that made us realize why people trust J29 Events. 

A lot of them said that they didn’t feel stressed at all when it came to planning their wedding up until the day itself. 

It seems that one of their packages is called “hand-holding” which is true to its name because a lot of clients who availed of this felt very much supported by the wedding planner. 

Aside from that package that includes unlimited communication, complete event design, travel & accommodations, vendor management, and more, they also have 2 others. 

There is partial planning which is perfect for couples who want to be more hands-on. It could be that you already have a few ideas on the vendors, but would still need help with other aspects of planning. 

They also have an event management option for couples who already have a complete wedding plan and just need help in executing them.  

We found out from several different clients who availed of different kinds of packages that J29 was great at executing their vision. This is while keeping the budget constraints in mind, so we thought it was extra admirable. 

A few clients also mentioned that J29 Events’ wedding planners have backup plans in case some things don’t go according to plan. We think a great planner is someone who considers different possibilities and prepares for them. 

Anyway, while a lot of clients had great things to say about them, some weren’t quite happy. 

They mentioned the lack of responsiveness from the wedding planner until a few days after initial contact. 

We thought this is important to consider because it could be a deal breaker for some. However, we think it’s also important to note that not a lot of people experienced the same thing.
