Roller Works Painting stood out to us for their meticulous work. We love how they prep properly and do not mess up other parts of the house.

We also can’t help but mention their pricing. They tend to give low quotes, with one client even saying that Roller’s bid beat out three others in the city.

However, their lack of responsiveness should be noted. Some clients reported difficulty reaching the company. In one case, a client had to cancel their contract due to a no-show and even went through the bank to secure a refund because the company wasn’t connecting with them.

Portland Painting & Restoration is trusted to paint centuries-old homes. One of their projects involved a 110-year-old house, and we were impressed by how PPR delivered such a beautiful result despite the house’s fragility.

PPR’s experience extends to working on historic features as well. They worked with a 100-year-old stained glass window on a National Historic Registry, which reassures us of their expertise in grand-scale old homes. 

We are also amazed by their skill at painting windows. One homeowner hired them to paint wooden windows, which also meant coordinating with a specialized window company. The process was smooth, and the paintwork was stunning. 

What we like most about them, beyond their confidence in painting delicate old houses, is their attention to color selection. One homeowner appreciated how the consultants helped him pick cheerful and warm colors that fit well with his house.

However, they can be quite expensive. Many clients attested that their bid was twice as high as any others. One client was even invoiced for double the original quote.

PPR could improve its ability to balance its tight schedules and ensure consistent customer service. One client experienced a three-week delay and heard that the crew supposed to work on their property had been taken to other projects.

We also appreciate the professionalism of the painters. One client working from home appreciated their courtesy and prompt service, ensuring minimal disruption while tending to the area.

However, some clients reported communication issues. One homeowner felt that the company wasn’t very communicative, which led to a mistake that could’ve been prevented if they had discussed it beforehand.

West Coast is a good place to call if you want a new roof, gutters, and a full paint makeover.

We’re amazed at how they go above and beyond even with challenging projects, not minding inclement weather and inaccessible areas. A homeowner appreciated how hardworking West Coast’s painting crew is, even touching up areas he didn’t expect.

We also love their quick service and fantastic clean-up job on every project, including a paint makeover on a 1913 house. They make sure the houses they paint can fully showcase their beauty without any distracting mess.

They offer pretty competitive quotes in terms of pricing. Their bids are backed up by a knowledgeable team and better materials, assuring the clients that the prices are reasonable and worth it.

We also appreciate their honest team. They offer a fair price on a minor repair when other contractors try to upsell a customer on a full replacement. 

They even honored a quote given to another homeowner by a former employee months ago when she was ready to hire them.

However, one thing that we believe they should improve is their customer support. We have multiple accounts of zero responses and delayed communication on emails and phone calls.
