DJ Jess the Ripper might just be one of the most unique and energetic DJs in Portland. He’s even awarded for it in 2022, according to his website, which was really impressive! You really know he has talent and passion, and that he can rock any place.

When we were planning to book him, we saw how versatile he is when it came to the services he offers. He DJs on almost all kinds of events! Whether it be company parties, weddings, galas, drag shows, or the like, he can do it all.

We honestly had a few hiccups when it came to our personal scheduling, but Jess was so easy to talk to and even had the heart to reschedule without any troubles or fees. And when the day came, he arrived promptly too! That’s professionalism, if you ask us.

Jess was also very open to discuss preferences, especially that we know the guests better than him. We loved that gesture because it shows that he really cares about the audience and not just the booking.

The best parts of his performance though? He was adaptive to the crowd, no matter the age or personality, he mixes on the spot, and the songs flow so seamlessly! We just wish he had a playlist of his set, but the surprises were definitely the magic.

We just hope that he lays down his contact details on his website for more accessibility to his future clients. It took a few steps before we could book him because you can only talk to him on his social media pages and through the website for an event consult.

Was amazing to work with

Jess was AMAZING to work with!! We hired them to DJ our wedding, and at every step of the process, they were just fabulous. They were really communicative and responsive during the lead-up to our wedding and answered every question we had for them. And their actual DJ skills are BOMB!!! They focused on the playlist we sent them during cocktail hour/dinner and then did just outstanding mixing for the dancing. Plus as a trans guy, it was extra special to have another trans person DJ my wedding. 🙂 Couldn’t recommend them highly enough!
