Hoot-N-Annie Resale Boutique is one of the game-changers for maternity shopping in Portland.

They’ve got a fantastic mix of new and gently used clothes, as well as some cool handmade items from local designers. Everything I saw here was in great shape. There were no stains or wear, just high-quality pieces that look like they’ll hold up through pregnancy and beyond.

The range of sizes and styles is awesome. Plus, the staff members were super helpful in finding the right fit.

I also found the prices really reasonable. You can snag some used brand-name pieces without spending a fortune.

However, the store was a little bit cluttered when I visited. It would be much better if they could organize their clothes by style or size.

Pros

  • Great selection
  • Has branded pieces
  • High quality
  • Diverse range
  • Helpful staff
  • Affordable

Cons

  • Cluttered layout

My favorite maternity clothing store since 2021

“HnA has been my lifesaver. It’s been my favorite maternity and kids store since I was pregnant in 2021. The toys, books, clothing and more is fun to just walk around. This place only brings joy to those who enter it.”

Pinwheels Resale Boutique is one of the standout maternity stores I’ve visited in Portland. They’ve got a great mix of new and used clothes, so you can find stylish options for any occasion.

They’ve got a good variety of sizes and styles, which is super helpful as your body changes. Plus, they offer a range of accessories to complete your look.

I was particularly impressed with how well-kept their items are—most of the gently used pieces look almost brand new, so you can shop secondhand without sacrificing quality.

The store is also filled with things for your kids. They even have a drop box where you can donate extra diapers for the less fortunate, which I thought was heartwarming.

However, while some items are affordable, others can feel a bit pricey for used clothing.

Pros

  • Great selection
  • Gently used clothes
  • Wide variety of maternity clothes
  • Offers stuff for kids

Cons

  • Some pieces can be expensive

I heard that Piccolina Children’s Resale Boutique has a play area for kids, so I had to check it out with my little one. It’s a fantastic spot for maternity and kids’ gear.

They offer a great mix of new and gently used maternity clothes, plus items for kids ranging from newborns to youth sizes. Their selection covers everything from clothing and shoes to toys and gear, making it a one-stop shop for families.

The quality of the items here really impressed me. Everything was in excellent condition, and it’s clear they put a lot of thought into curating their inventory. They also feature some cool, locally sourced, handmade products that add a unique touch to their inventory.

The only downside is that their selection of sizes is somewhat limited.

Pros

  • Has a play area
  • Offers locally sourced and handmade products
  • Offers items for kids
  • High-quality clothing pieces

Cons

  • Limited sizes

I love Piccolina! Even has high-end clothes

I love this store! It’s packed with high end, gently worn children and maternity clothes. They also sell so many other items such as carriers, strollers, toys, all items that parents,  babies and children need. I’m so excited to see the changes the new owner has made!”

Shopping here for years and I love it!

“I have been shopping here for years and love it!  I always find great Hanna Andersson dresses and leggings, high quality raincoats, winter gear, and boots and pay a fraction of the price of new without the endless searching of thrift stores.  Bill, the owner is really helpful and kind.”

I recently discovered Back on the Rack, and oh boy, they are pretty awesome in a lot of ways!

I was thrilled to find that they offer activewear designed specifically for pregnant women—because, yes, we still want to stay active with a baby bump. They also have comfy pants and elegant dresses that cater to various needs and styles.

With their diverse range of fits and sizes, you’re sure to find something that not only flatters you but also feels fantastic as your body changes.

Plus, they’re the largest children’s resale store in the Pacific Northwest, so their selection is enormous.

However, I did find that some items were a bit pricey, so take that into consideration if you’re tight on budget.

Pros

  • Offers maternity activewear
  • Diverse selection
  • High-quality items
  • Wide range of sizes
  • Large inventory

Cons

  • High cost

Great place for mommies and babies

Great place to get gently used baby items, maternity items, toddler, and older kid items! Clothes, shoes, toys, bedding, and lots of other great things. We found the perfect bassinet here. 2 stories and wonderfully organized for easy finding!”

Kimbery Feutz, Google review

Quality on this store is superb

“The staff has always been super helpful and knowledgeable! They have tons of selections for every item you need. They have amber necklaces! They also have tons of maternity clothes for crazy good price, which I had a hard time finding when I was pregnant until I thought to check here. I started coming here when I was a kid and they were on Cornelius pass, and now I’m 27 years old and shopping here for my baby here. I’ve always loved the quality they have here.”

Must-stop clothing boutique in Portland

“Super sweet, family-run kids clothing boutique. This is always a must stop anytime we’re at Bridgeport, and I always find more than I need for my baby girl. Everything is adorable! Quality clothing brands, a great selection of dressier outfits (we got our daughter’s Easter dress here) and a good section of gifts as well. Super friendly customer service! They have a little room for mom and baby in the back wonderful for nursing/feeding baby, which has saved us from meltdowns a couple of times.”

McKenna Olson, Google review

They literally have all my favorite pieces of clothing

“I’m so grateful this store exists! Basically all my favorite pieces of clothing I’ve ever had for my daughter have come from them. They are also kind and helpful when I’m looking for things. Just yesterday I popped in to buy a gift for a friend. There are so few local kids clothing stores left. I like seeing and feeling what I’m buying. They also stand by their products if you have any issues with sizing, quality, etc. We have to shop small if we want these businesses to be here for us.“
