Having been in business for almost 20 years, Portland Furniture has successfully made a name in Portland’s interior design community. 

If you want to support and go local, Portland Furniture can offer you a wide selection of furniture pieces and services.

We love that they’re known for their “condo” size pieces. Over the years, they’ve earned a reputation for the unique shapes and sizes of their furniture. 

With these pieces, they can offer options for clients with big and small spaces. 

Aside from their furniture pieces, we also think their Fabric Switch Program elevates the options list for their clients. 

We appreciate that they prepared a list of their available fabrics on their website, including their descriptions and pictures. 

Under their Fabric Switch Program, clients can readily select and order a sample fabric online and have it sent over to them should they prefer to check out the fabrics in person.

However, we have to note that this selection and delivery are not for free. They charge $25 and this is nonrefundable. 

In any case, the amount will be applied to your purchase if you decide to take it.

We also think their scope of services is noteworthy. 

We love that they don’t only offer ready-made furniture but also customization and design services. 

With these services, clients can have their furniture resized or reframed to fit their spaces or their design preferences.

We say this because of their wide scope of customization services. These include upgrading your furniture’s fabric, extending its frame, or converting it to a bench. 

Their customization services work best for clients who want to save up and upgrade their furniture instead of replacing them with new ones. This also works for those who simply aren’t ready to let go of their treasured pieces.

We also want to highlight What’s New Furniture’s consignment services. 

This option allows furniture owners to sell their furniture through them. Consigned furniture pieces are available for viewing in their showroom and in their website. 

They also help consignors set a price for their furniture, but we have to note, that if you want to sell your old furniture, you can only earn as much as 50% of the purchase price.  

In any case, selling with them can get furniture owners consistent publicity through their showroom and website. 

The next feature that we think is unique to What’s New? Furniture is their rental option. 

Under this option, clients can rent the shop’s furniture by the hour for their shooting or filming projects. 

In terms of payment assistance, we love that they provide sales and discounts to their clients.

While we appreciate all these sweet deals, we have to point out that a few of their clients have experienced unaccommodating treatment from their personnel. 

This sets them back and isn’t ideal for clients who are in need of personalized assistance in their shopping.

What we like best about Mor Furniture is their active and hands-on client service. 

There are two things that make their client service noteworthy: first, their delivery service and next, their warranty offer.

We love that they provide their clients with a white-glove delivery service. 

Under this option, they offer to deliver purchased furniture to their clients’ homes, assemble and install them as well as pick up and dispose of old furniture. 

We think this is an excellent feature that gives their clients extra convenience. 

Together with their online shopping option, this delivery service gives clients an all-in-one service. We love that clients can rely on them from shopping up to the installation of the furniture. 

Next, we also appreciate that they offer a 30-day price guarantee.

Under this option, if a client’s total purchase is offered for less in other stores within 30 days after they received their items, the difference in price will be credited to that client. They can then use this credit on Mor’s future offers. 

This is perfect for clients who are slowly filling up their spaces a few furniture pieces at a time. It also makes a great reward for their loyal shoppers.

Finally, we appreciate that their furniture pieces are covered by a warranty. However, this warranty is only effective for one year and is limited to specific parts of their furniture like cushion core and frame construction.

We also have to note that a few of their clients received defective pieces from them, and we don’t like that they took a while to replace or fix these pieces. 

In any case, it would be best to buy in-store and double-check that you’re purchasing a working furniture piece.
