They have a fantastic selection of luggage brands, but it’s their Briggs & Riley line that really stands out. This brand is durable and has a lifetime guarantee. 

Plus, their CX Compression-Expansion Technology makes packing super easy—perfect for both weekend trips and business travel.

Fink’s also offers plenty of carry-on options that are compact yet spacious, making them ideal for short getaways or as an extra bag for longer trips.

Aside from their luggage selection, they also offer repair services. They handle everything from zipper replacements to fixing wheels and even dealing with dents and cracks on hard-sided luggage.

The only thing I’d point out is that their customer service could use a little work. It’d be great if the staff were more knowledgeable about their product offerings.

“I’ve been buying my luggage from Fink’s Luggage since 2007 when my wife and I bought 2 bags for our honeymoon.  I bought a Briggs&Riley carryon in 2010, followed by another B&R carryon in 2018 when Alaska Air reduced their allowed carryon size.  I’ve also bought a B&R brief-backpack. The moment I walked into the Tumi Store, I could tell this place means business when it comes to quality. 

TUMI’s luggage is crafted from top-notch materials like ballistic nylon and leather. They’re not just about good looks! Their bags are built to last and handle some serious travel wear and tear. 

I was particularly drawn to their 19 Degree line. These luggages have sleek, modern designs and are both durable and stylish.

Plus, I was impressed by their commitment to sustainability. TUMI is doing its part to be eco-friendly, which is great if you’re into supporting brands that care about the environment. 

However, I didn’t appreciate how they sold me a worn-out floor model as the “last piece,” claiming it was new. So, a piece of advice: be cautious and always request a brand-new, unopened bag when shopping here to avoid experiencing this.

If you’re into outdoor gear that’s as functional as it is stylish, Filson is definitely worth a visit. It’s been around since 1897, and it really shows with their store’s aesthetic and luggage quality.

What really stands out about Filson is the sheer quality of their stuff. They’re all about durability, which makes sense given their roots. They originally started out making gear for the Klondike Gold Rush, so you know their products are built to last. 

Their luggage offerings are made with materials that only get better with age—think waxed canvas and vegetable-tanned leather. They even offer a lifetime guarantee on many items, which is a nice touch in a world full of fast fashion.

While I’m impressed with the quality of their luggage, I’ve noticed that some of their jackets haven’t held up as well as I’d hoped. They started showing signs of wear within months of purchase, which was a bit disappointing.

Portland Luggage has it all—from stylish, security-focused luggage to basic travel bags—that you won’t find everywhere else.

The staff were all super friendly and seemed genuinely knowledgeable. They didn’t try to sell me their most expensive bag. Rather, they helped me test out different bags to find the one that was just right for me. 

What really stands out, though, is their local vibe. Portland Luggage has that “made in Portland” charm that shows off local pride and community spirit. With unique, high-quality products from local artisans, it’s a refreshing change from the big chain stores.

Plus, they offer repair services and handle warranty fixes, which is a huge bonus.

Just a heads-up, though—the repair service is on the pricier side.

Occasionally, the store features exclusive or limited-edition items that you won’t find elsewhere. Just be aware that luxury comes with a higher price tag!
