We think these options are flexible and can accommodate different clients, whether they need full services or simple upkeep of their already installed solar panels. 

We think Sunbridge Solar also excels in their client resources. In fact, they believe in empowering their clients by providing them with resources. 

For them, “an informed decision is the best decision.”

This is also why they’ve committed to regularly updating their Solar Resource Center, where clients can readily access expansive and well-organized resources about solar energy. 

This, for us, makes them the best choice for clients who are still learning the perks and setbacks of installing solar panels. 

Client service with them is also noteworthy!

They’ve listed some government incentives available to solar energy users. Clients are usually not aware of these benefits, so we like that this allows them to avail all the cost-efficient options there are.

There is, however, a minor issue with their responsiveness. Sometimes, a few clients aren’t accommodated until after a while. 

With its installation practices built especially for Pacific Northwest’s climate, Power Northwest offers more personalized services to Portland locals.

If you’re planning on using your panels outside Portland, you might want to reconsider this option.

We also think their products set them apart. 

We love that they offer flashed and waterproofed solar panels, which are all covered by a 25-year warranty and production guarantee. 

If you’re big on aesthetics, Power Northwest also puts a premium on providing the best-looking solar panels. 

In fact, clients love their sleek black-on-black design, which in our opinion, makes their products look clean, sophisticated, and chic. 

While function and efficiency are top features to look for in a solar panel, we still think a solar panel’s design is relevant, especially considering that these panels will be attached to our homes for a long time. 

We do have to point out, however, that for a company set on supplying beautifully designed panels, their design options are quite limited. 

If credibility is number one for you, Elemental Energy holds several awards and certifications under its belt.

We love that they’ve been rated as the Top Solar Contractor from 2013 to 2020 by Solar Power World, the leading media outlet for the solar market in the US.

They’ve also been awarded relevant certifications including a North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners installer certification and technical sales professional certification.

Also worthy to note, Elemental is a Tesla Powerwall-certified installer. This simply means that clients can expect free and uninterrupted access to the sun’s power through their customized solar plus battery solution.

With all these recognitions, clients can expect top-quality design and installation services from them. 

In terms of scope of services, their offers are on par with the leading providers of solar panels in the region. Their services include energy storage, Tesla Powerwall, and even electrical services. 

While they provide the basic client resources on their website, we think they can still be more thorough in outlining the process of their services. 

In any case, we appreciate that they offer free consultations to their clients. 

They also accept flexible payment options including cryptocurrency. Although the 2.5% processing fee in using some of the options can be a drawback if you’re on a tight budget.

Another solar installer to consider is A&R Solar. It sets up and installs solar power systems that are suitable for both homes and businesses.

The company started as Andy and Reeves in 2007, hence its present name, A&R. We love that their vision is centered on a sustainable solution to achieve a greener community.

Having over a decade of experience, they’ve developed a full design and installation service for Portlanders. 

We love that they assist their clients throughout the entire process from getting permits and installing the solar panels to the final inspections. 

In fact, they even accommodate upkeep requests for panels not installed by their company. It’s perfect for those who already have existing solar panels installed but haven’t been able to maximize their panels’ full potential. 

If you want to feel more relaxed throughout the process, you can rely on A&R’s full-service offer.

They have great client resources too. They provide easy access to regulations as well as government incentives to help you save cash and still get your dream solar panel design.  

We also love that their employees have an in-depth understanding of their products, which helps clients make an informed choice before making the investment.  

However, a few clients say they lack client service post-installation. One wasn’t accommodated when she sought to have her monitoring device repaired. 

If you’re in a nonprofit organization, looking to install quality solar panels, Imagine Energy offers its design and installation services for you.

They’ve also partnered up with Leaders Become Legends, a local nonprofit organization that mentors some of Imagine’s staff, so you can expect a knowledgeable team to assist you in your design and installation needs. 

We love that they’ve created a program called Oregon Community Solar Program, which allows clients to subscribe to a portion of a centralized, larger-scale solar installation. 

Put simply, it encourages clients within the same area to share a community solar panel. We think this works well for family compounds or a close-knit neighborhood that is set on availing of the most cost-efficient solar options.  

In fact, clients can rely on them to honestly provide cost proposals from different solar panel manufacturers. We very much appreciate this transparency and flexibility. 

Speaking of flexibility, they also accommodate repair requests of solar panels not installed by them. However, they charge an installation fee that can go up to $105, as one client points out. 

A few clients also note delays in their installation process.

Some also don’t appreciate the lack of communication from Imagine. This is unfortunate because communication is crucial, especially when dealing with a technical industry solution such as solar panels.
