Blockhouse offers a unique vibe setting it apart from many other Portland wedding venues. Tucked inside the Pomarius Nursery, it’s surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful floral displays that create a truly intimate and garden-like atmosphere for your big day. 

The space is versatile, with room for smaller gatherings of around 10 people or larger events of up to 100 guests. Whether you’re planning an indoor ceremony or want to take advantage of the outdoor setup, Blockhouse can easily accommodate both.

The open kitchen and covered outdoor areas are nice touches that make the experience even better, and the staff are accommodating. 

Previous couples we’ve spoken to mentioned that the staff made sure nearly every detail was perfect and handled any curveballs with ease.

That said, it’s worth considering that the venue’s seating capacity might be a bit tight for larger groups. But if you’re after an intimate, nature-filled setting, Blockhouse is worth checking out.

“Gorgeous venue! The greenhouse with the plants and flowers looked beautiful on our wedding day! I loved how reasonable the space was. The nursery has a roof and collapsible walls if it’s too hot, and you can rent heaters if it’s too cold. The Blockhouse space also has a roof, heaters, and plenty of room for a decent dance floor. The inside space is very roomy. We rented the plant wall to fill out the area behind our ceremony. We also paid for the extra hour before our event for family photos. All in all a very reasonably priced venue. Everyone thought it was beautiful, and I agree.”

Lakeside Gardens feels like one of those rare hidden gems that set the mood for a picture-perfect wedding. Spread across seven gorgeous acres, it’s got a peaceful lake, colorful blooming gardens, and plenty of space to host up to 300 guests. 

Whether it may be an intimate wedding or a big celebration, the venue’s flexibility makes it easy to create the wedding vibe you want. And if you’re thinking about an evening event, the twinkling lights take the whole place to another level of magic.

One of the standout features here is the all-inclusive package. It covers essentials like catering, event planning, and décor setup—everything you need to take a big chunk of the stress off your plate. 

The staff also gets a lot of love for being super attentive. Plus, there’s a charming bridal suite where you can get ready in style. 

That said, you might want to book early during peak wedding months from May to September since the venue can get quite busy. This may lead to a less personalized experience as staff juggles multiple events.

The Evergreen PDX ORE is a favorite in Portland for its sleek mix of modern and industrial vibes. With high ceilings, exposed brick walls, and loads of natural light, it’s a dream for couples who want that perfect blend of elegance and urban charm. 

The space is versatile too, comfortably hosting up to 200 guests for a seated dinner. However, it also works well for smaller, more intimate weddings.

Couples often rave about the staff here—they’re communicative, adaptable, and genuinely helpful throughout the planning process. 

One thing to keep in mind, though, is they have a list of preferred caterers. Some find it a bit restrictive, especially if you’re working within a tight budget. 

Even so, the venue’s stunning aesthetic and top-notch service make it a go-to choice for many Portland couples.

With room for up to 30 guests, it’s perfect for intimate weddings where every detail feels personal. The blank canvas design lets you get as creative as you want, making it a favorite for those who love to customize.

On the practical side, the onsite kitchenette is a nice touch for catering, and its location means easy access to local food options. 

That said, the snug size might not work for larger guest lists. Some couples also noted that the rental price can feel a bit steep compared to similar options. 

Still, if you’re after a small, stylish space with a ton of character, Tendue could be just what you’re looking for.

That said, the location’s distance from downtown can be a bit tricky for out-of-towners.

Its rustic vibe is also not for everyone—don’t expect all the sleek, modern amenities of a city venue. 

But if you’re after a down-to-earth, nature-filled setting that feels like a true escape, Rossi Farms might be just the place.
