Cully is situated in the northeast part of Portland, Oregon.​ It is bordered by Sumner to the east, Concordia to the west, and Roseway to the south. 

The area is also close to Portland International Airport, making it easily accessible and convenient for residents.

What is the main road in Cully?

Northeast Cully Boulevard is Cully’s primary road. It serves as a vital hub for both locals and tourists due to the array of small stores, restaurants, and establishments.

How to Get to Cully?

Closest Bus Stop: ​ Start by taking a bus from either of the following stops: NE Columbia Blvd & 52nd (Naya) (West) or Naya. Get off at NE Cully Blvd & Prescott St or NE Cully Blvd & Mason St stops. 

Once you disembark at either of these stops, you will have convenient access to several local bus routes, such as bus lines 71, 72, and 75, which serve Cully.

Best Time to Go to Cully

The best time to go to Cully is in September. On the 21st of the month, the community hosts CullyFest. It’s a vibrant celebration that features family-friendly activities, including sidewalk mural painting, live performances by local talent, and free food.

During the event, you can also expect some interactive activities, such as a petting zoo and bicycle-powered smoothie stations.

Whitaker Ponds Nature Park is a chill space filled with all kinds of wildlife, from ducklings and herons to otters and woodpeckers. It’s an awesome spot for nature lovers, especially those who love birdwatching.

The park has a couple of ponds, a half-mile loop trail, and a cool gazebo. It’s surrounded by a black cottonwood forest and tons of native plants that attract pollinators in the summer. 

You can also launch a canoe into Whitaker Slough, though the mud doesn’t allow boating on the ponds.

Cully Park is a fantastic place to spend some time outdoors!​ With its sprawling green spaces and scenic views, you can really take in the fresh air while enjoying a variety of activities.

Expect well-maintained paved paths that are perfect for leisurely strolls or bike rides. There’s also a great playground for the kids. There are also native gardens that make the perfect backdrop for a picnic with the family.

If you’ve got a furry friend, the off-leash dog area is a great spot for them to run around and play.
