Eastmoreland is located in southeast Portland, just five miles from downtown. It’s within walking distance of Reed College and the business districts in Woodstock and Westmoreland.

The main street in Eastmoreland is SE Woodstock Boulevard, which runs along the northern edge of the neighborhood. This tree-lined street not only marks the boundary but also provides easy access to nearby shops, restaurants, and Reed College. 

How to Get to Eastmoreland

Via bus: From SE Milwaukie & Powell in Portland, take the Line 19 bus and hop off at SE 28th & Tolman. This is a direct, non-stop 10-minute trip.

Via tram: Take the Portland Trimet at SW 5th & Oak St station in Portland. In Ashcreek, get off at SE Bybee Blvd station. This is a 23-minute trip.

If you’re visiting Eastmoreland from April to May, you can’t miss the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden. It’s the perfect time to see rhododendrons and azaleas in full display.

Even outside of the bloom season, the garden is the perfect spot for a quiet afternoon. You can enjoy lush greenery, scenic water views, and easy-to-navigate walking paths. 

However, keep in mind the paths aren’t very wide, so it’s not the best choice for bringing elderly guests.

The garden is dog-friendly too, though we recommend leaving furry friends at home to fully immerse themselves in the peaceful atmosphere without distraction.

Parking can be a bit tricky near the garden, but street parking is available. Admission starts at $8.95 for adults and $5.95 for students aged 6 to 21.
