Pros
- Offers a fixed brunch meal
- Popular desserts
- Welcoming and friendly staff
Cons
- Breakfast dishes can be heavy
- Basic beverage selection
- Doesn’t presently offer delivery services
If you believe that brunch should be big, Hunny Milk is a good place to start your day. They’re known for the heavy and delicious brunch options they serve.
We love that they offer set options where customers can pick one savory dish, one sweet dish, and one drink and get everything for a fixed price of $27. While this has little room for customization, we still think it makes ordering easy.
Naturally, their set options can also get too heavy. If you prefer feeling light in the morning, this might not be your best choice.
Their sweet dishes are pretty popular too.
We like that they’ve curated a donut-inspired menu. They serve their dishes in mouth-watering donuts, and we’re just honestly captivated by the donuts’ fluffy dough, tasty filling, and oozing sauce.
Kids usually enjoy the donuts, but grown-up donut fans are definitely welcome!
The service is also fantastic!
The staff members are welcoming and friendly. Patrons also love that their food is served fast even when the place is crowded and busy.
The beverage selection, however, isn’t as exciting.
They do serve the basics including coffee, tea, and a few juice options. Adults can also upgrade to cocktails for an additional charge.
They also don’t offer delivery services at the moment. No reservations are allowed as well.

They specialize in serving English dishes for breakfast and brunch, but their menu is still sweeping. Their breakfast options include an all-American breakfast, a full English breakfast, steak and eggs, and a vegetarian skillet.
If you feel like having a heavy breakfast, they also serve the Kingsland Big Breakfast that’s packed with all your favorite breakfast staples.
Their brisket and omelet get a lot of praise from their patrons. Most customers thought the food they had was fresh and delicious!
There’s an exciting list of beverages as well.
We love that they serve coffee, tea, juice, and cocktails. Day drinker? Their mimosa is pretty popular among customers.
The servers are also friendly and nice. In fact, one customer’s kid was given a treat for finishing his food!
We love that they create these special moments with their customers. We think these are the gestures that make their experience memorable.
The service can be a hit or miss. They usually serve fast but can’t keep up when the place gets packed.
Make sure to come earlier to avoid waiting too long for your food!
Pricing is also on the expensive side. They charge $5 for shared plates as well.
In any case, customers say the tasty treats and generous portions make the price worth it.

Pros
- Serves homemade food-inspired dishes
- Wide selection of breakfast food
- Large and spacious place
Cons
- Issues with seat accommodations
- Issues with reservations
Nothing beats the warmth and comfort of homemade food. Mother’s Bistro & Bar takes us home with their selection of homemade favorites.
Their Mother’s Breakfast menu includes omelets, frittatas, hash browns, waffles, and pancakes. We love that they take these breakfast staples and elevate them to high-quality gourmet.
They also offer a wide selection of sandwiches, including ham and Swiss panini, grilled grass-fed burger, and pulled pork quesadilla. Gluten-free bread is also served, so there’s something for everyone.
Patrons also love their customer service.
The servers are friendly and attentive. We love that they take the time to answer the customers’ questions and assist them in choosing and making their orders.
The service is also fast, so customers can expect their food to be fresh and warm.
With 200 seats prepared, the place is pretty large and spacious. Patrons love the bright and inviting ambiance inside.
Despite its big size, the place can still get too crowded. When it does, customers usually have to wait around 10 minutes to get a table.
Make sure to book ahead if you’re not prepared to wait.
Perhaps what we love best about Mother’s is their Mother of the Month menu.
Under this, they select a worthy mother from the community and showcase her story and her own selection of food items. We love that they especially honor mothers, the first ones to ever serve us warmth and love on our plates.
Customers, however, note some issues with seat accommodation and reservation.
In fact, one customer experienced getting their reservation canceled and wasn’t given any explanation or apology for what happened.

Cons
- Customers will have to wait long on busy days
- Their food and beverages are pricey
- Inconsistent flavors in their dishes
If you feel like exploring your brunch options, Cheryl’s offers New American dishes that showcase a fusion of traditional American dishes and selected foreign flavors.
This fusion is definitely reflected in their menu. Their breakfast specialties include Portuguese fried rice, biscuits and gravy, French toast, huevos rancheros, and croque monsieur.
There’s also a sweeping list of gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options if you prefer them.
The Portuguese fried rice is a huge hit among patrons. The complimentary warm beignets they serve make a good welcome dish too.
We also love that they curated a menu especially for kids including chicken tenders, fish and chips, hamburgers, and pancakes.
This makes them a great place for families who want to take their kids out for brunch.
Their beverages are also quite popular. Patrons especially love their Bloody Mary, and their mimosas can be served in different flavors.
All these treats can also be enjoyed in their outdoor seating. The ambiance is perfect for a fresh and laidback moment.
The place is, however, always packed. It’s best to make reservations ahead, as the wait can take as long as an hour.
Customers also find the pricing expensive. This is despite the inconsistent quality of their food.
While others say their food is delicious, a few note that they’re unseasoned and lacked flavor.

Pros
- Wide selection of breakfast and lunch food
- There are also enough options for beverages
Cons
- Some of their dishes can be underwhelming
- Food is served in small portions
- The place gets too crowded sometimes
Voted as Portland’s Best Brunch since 2018, Jam on Hawthorne has surely built a reputation for good breakfast and lunch options.
We’re happy to say their large menu does live up to this reputation. We love that they offer a wide selection of food, including egg dishes, comfort foods, wraps, Benedicts, and desserts as well as gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options.
Everyone who comes to Jam can definitely find something for themselves.
Celebrating their 20th anniversary, they also offer a special cinnamon raisin brioche French toast. With this option, customers can enjoy a generous set of three slices all for $14.
Their beverage menu is just as abundant!
If you’re looking to day-drink, they offer an exciting list of mimosas, Bloodies, cocktails, and beers.
Patrons love the broad selection of mimosa flavors, which can also be served in buckets of one or two flavors.
The coffee they serve is also pretty special.
We love that they collaborated with Marigold Coffee who locally roasts their coffee. Customers can enjoy this strong coffee bottomless!
A number of customers say the flavors in their dishes can be underwhelming. The portions served are also a bit small for some.
The place also gets too crowded, especially on weekends. You might want to look for other brunch spots, as the wait can take as long as an hour sometimes.

Cons
- Slow service
- Place can be rowdy when there’s a lot of diners
- Problems with reservations
BEASTRO by Marshawn Lynch is another brunch place in the city and is located in Hotel Vance.
If you’d like to try a cuisine different from the usual American brunch menu, we think you’d want to try BEASTRO by Marshawn Lynch because they’re all about Island and Korean fusion here.
Their breakfast and lunch menu is served from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM daily.
This gives anyone a lot of time to order some local groundwork coffee and to fill their stomachs with Hawaiian Island Style-Asian Fusion fare!
If you’re feeling like having a drink during your brunch, they serve cocktails as well.
Their food is absolutely delectable. If you want lots of flavor then we think you won’t be disappointed with their menu because each meal in their menu has a distinctive taste.
Whether it’s their food or their drinks, we think you’ll enjoy them.
Their incredibly friendly and accommodating servers will also increase the pleasure of your experience here.
