When we reached out to several of their past clients, we found out that it was what the clients most loved about Solace Cremation Portland. 

Not having the burden of complicated registration on top of dealing with grief made the process easier. It was also quite helpful, especially for clients who didn’t have enough family support.

We had the chance to reach out to Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services and sit down and talk to them to get a more in-depth idea of what made them choose this company. 

One of the things we learned was that the staff was helpful throughout the process. This is because of how well they were able to guide their clients from the start. 

They were responsive to emails and calls and they also helped with the decision-making. 

A lot of the clients we talked to said that this cremation service company helped them ease the burden because they felt fully supported. 

We thought it’s important to add that they also offer multi-cultural funerals, which is perfect for those who are more in touch with their roots. 

Moreover, they are also pet-friendly, which we, unfortunately, don’t see a lot. We thought it’s worth noting because there are a lot of people who bring their fur babies to funerals either as a part of the grieving process or because the animal is close to the deceased. 

We also loved Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services’ purchase protection plan. 

This means that if you pass away before you fully pay for your cemetery property, they will handle the remaining due balance. 

While Advantage Funeral has options like this that help with expenses, a lot of clients mentioned that they are more expensive than some cremation services. 

Some say it’s worth it and they didn’t mind spending a few extra bucks, but some hoped they opted for a cheaper option. 

There were also some complaints from the clients saying that the company didn’t answer their inquiries that well. Some had questions about the payment or the process, but the staff wasn’t able to explain it quite well, leaving the clients with unanswered questions. 

Overall, it seems that more people were quite satisfied with their cremation service of choice. We thought that because of this, they’re truly worth considering. 

Crown Memorial Center, Cremation & Burial is quite upfront with what’s included in the packages without charging any extra fees. 

Having the chance to talk to their clients, we found out that this was one of the things that made their patrons quite pleased with choosing this cremation service. 

They have 4 packages available on their website if your loved one has already passed. There’s a traditional funeral service with cremation that includes a funeral director and staff, embalming, dressing, placement in a casket, and more. 

They also offer a ceremonial cremation, which is just a simple direct cremation with limited preparation viewing and cremation committal ceremony. 

Additionally, there’s the cremation & viewing package, which is just like the ceremonial cremation but without the committal ceremony. 

And lastly, there’s also an option of just direct cremation. 

Although not exactly cheap, a lot of clients mentioned that the pricing was reasonable. We think this is because the quality of their experience here made the cost understandable. 

It seems that the staff explains the process well to their clients. That’s always important, because this is a time of turmoil and added confusion is far from needed. 

Another thing that clients loved about this company was the resources that they provide. 

They have a Funeral And Burial Reimbursement Program for those who passed because of something COVID-19 related. 

Furthermore, they also offer several grief resources on their website about understanding grief, how to deal with the death of a spouse, helping children cope, and other helpful reading materials. 

We know that it’s never easy to experience the death of someone close to you, but reading stuff like this could hopefully shed some light.

While there are a lot of positive things to say about Crown Memorial Center, there were a lot of clients who complained about the staff responding slowly. 

A lot of clients we talked to mentioned this, so we thought this was important to put into consideration. 

Nonetheless, we loved how Crown Memorial Center is transparent in its process so that clients can understand them better. 

We also recommend them for the packages that they provide and how upfront they are with the fees. 

If there’s one thing the clients we sat down and talked to said collectively about Skyline Memorial Gardens, it’s the beautiful scenic views in the venue. 

The place boasts of its mountainous view and we couldn’t help but agree that it’s quite breathtaking. 

It was also quite peaceful and serene, which makes it one of the perfect spots to say goodbye to a loved one. 

And there’s an on-site cemetery on the land, so the funeral and cremation can be in one place conveniently. 

A few clients we talked to also appreciated how there are live-streaming options for funeral services. Some family members couldn’t make it on the day itself, so having that option benefited a lot of people. 

Plus, Skyline Memorial Gardens is another pet-friendly option for those who want to bring their pets with them to the service. 

When we talked to the clients, some also mentioned that it felt like the staff they talked to was genuinely concerned and empathetic throughout the process.

However, we should also add that a few didn’t have quite a pleasant experience with the staff. These people complained about some attitude from the company’s staff. 

One of the things that we think made Wilhelm’s Portland Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory stand out is that they have several “personal touch” options. 

These are memorial products and services that could help make everlasting memories of your loved ones. 

Some of the many options available are fingerprint jewelry, DNA preservation, memorial blankets and portraits, parting stones, and more. 

We think that these products aren’t usually available in cremation and funeral companies, so we thought it’s a unique touch that makes Wilhelm’s Portland Memorial unique. 

This is why when we got the chance to have a face-to-face chat with some of their clients, we weren’t surprised that most of them have family buried here that could be traced back several generations ago. 

We think this is also because it’s quite peaceful here. The chapel is also a historic structure dating back as early as 1901. 

What’s more, some clients also mentioned that they loved how the staff responds very swiftly to any inquiries or concerns. 

We think this is a positive thing because clients would feel more supported throughout the entire process with responsive staff. 

Moreover, Wilhelm’s Portland Memorial also provides grief support resources such as informational sources, links to hospice centers, and more. 

While a lot of clients were pleased, we were also able to talk to a few who had complaints. 

They complained about the upkeep, especially on the older tombs. We hope that this could be improved in the future because the place was also quite beautiful. 

Overall, we love how Wilhelm’s Portland Memorial was able to think a lot about several ways to support those who are grieving thus making them worthy to be called one of the best.
