One of the reasons why we added Kristal Passy Photography to our list of top headshot services in Portland is because of her credentials. 

Having graduated with a degree in Fine Art Photography and Anthropology at U.C. Santa Cruz, Kristal has been practicing photography for a while. Overall, she has 15 years of experience in taking pictures and 10 years in professional portraits. 

Her rates are already easily available online, which we appreciate. We think this is quite efficient because clients don’t have to wait for quotations. 

Although not exactly cheap, we found the rates to be quite affordable compared to most services in the city. If you believe that getting your headshot is a worthy investment, we don’t see why you couldn’t check Kristal out. 

After availing of her services, we were able to observe a few things that made us think she was worthy of recommendation. 

We weren’t quite used to being in front of the camera, so it was awkward at first because we didn’t know what to do! Good thing that Kristal was able to give us directions so it made us more at ease.

When we had the chance to speak with several of her clients, a lot of them said the same thing. It seems that with Kristal’s skill in the creative direction, you don’t have to worry about doing something wrong: she’s going to be there to guide you throughout the shoot. 

As for her services, you will have the option to shoot in a studio or outdoors. If you want to add a second location, there will be an additional cost. 

You will have 30-45 minutes with Kristal. We think this is just ample time to get the shot you want. 

Only 1 outfit change is allowed though. We think it is not sufficient for some people and based on our research, other places allow more. 

Moreover, if you want digital files, there’s an additional charge. Not ideal.

We think these are the things you should consider before making a decision. But ultimately, we admire Kristal’s skill and expertise, so it might be worth your time to send her a message. 

She responds quite quickly, so that was actually another point in her favor. 

When we interviewed the clients who got their pictures taken at Kitta Bodmer Photography, most of them praised the photographer’s energy. 

It seems that Kitta is upbeat and high-spirited, which a lot of clients felt like it was contagious. 

This is how clients feel immediately comfortable as soon as the camera is pointed at them. It helped most shoots run more smoothly. 

We had a similar experience, so we can attest to this after witnessing it firsthand. Kitta has techniques that help people strike poses and bring out their smiles. 

This is one of the reasons why the photos seem to always turn out great, based on the photos she took in the past.

It was a fun experience and a quick one too, so we wouldn’t be surprised if people choose Kitta again for any type of photo shoot they need.

Aside from headshots, she also offers website photos, interior design photos, event photos, and more. 

You can also hire her for occasional shoots such as weddings, bar mitzvahs, newborn photos, maternity photos, and such. 

The scheduling process is quite seamless because she responds quickly. 

Out of the several people we were able to interview, not one had negative experiences. Everyone was more than happy with the results, too. 

If there’s something we think needs to be improved, it would be the availability of the rates and the lack of explanation of what’s included in the package. 

We think it’s important that the rates are already available, so your clients already have an idea if it’s within budget before reaching out. It saves a lot of time for both parties. 

We also think that she should provide detailed information about what’s included in the package. It only says 6-8 edited options for a simple headshot. We think adding information like what clients could add would be helpful. 

We found that a lot of the clients here loved Becca Blevins Photography for her professionalism. This is because when we interviewed them, most of them praised what it was like working with her on the set. 

It seems that the photo shoots were a breeze to work through even if they felt awkward when the camera was pointed at them. 

This is because Becca gives a lot of helpful directions, so they found themselves almost posing like a professional. 

This is what we experienced with her too. She even asked us from time to time if we were doing okay or if we were feeling comfortable.

We like how she checked in on us and created opportunities for us to voice out if there’s something we’re not comfortable with. 

Becca can both do location and studio shoots for headshots, but do note that there’s a huge cost behind doing an outdoor shoot. Judging from her photos, you will discern that it’s worth it, but the deciding factor might ultimately be your vision and budget. 

She also offers different packages like the starter. It’s the cheapest option because you’ll have 15 minutes in the studio with a backdrop option of only environmental and classic. 

Her most expensive option is called the premium. For this, you’ll have 90 minutes in the studio, 4 or 5 backdrop changes, styled photos with desks and furnishings, and more. 

One of the reasons why Fritz Photography attracts numerous people who then become satisfied clients is because of the awards they’ve bagged over the years. 

They’ve won several from different places such as WeddingWire, the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers, and more. They’ve even had their work published by National Geographic. 

We got the chance to interview some of their clients to get a more in-depth insight into why clients come out feeling pleased and satisfied. 

Many of them mentioned the fast turnaround time. We found that the team can send the clients’ photos in as fast as 10 minutes. 

If you want to receive your photos in the fastest way possible, we think Fritz Photography is worth a shot.

Additionally, a lot of their clients also mentioned that the team was great at communicating. Even before meeting the team, they’ve already made a great impression because of how responsive they are. 

Moreover, they also exhibited this skill during the shoot by directing the clients to get the best shots. 

Most of the people we talked to had a great experience, but some complained that the prices were exorbitant. 

We understand where they’re coming from because when comparing the prices this studio has, it’s a lot more expensive and you get less compared to others who offer the same services.

We went out to interview the clients of Lance Reis to ask about their experience here. We asked them a few questions such as what they loved most about their shoots and what they think needs to be improved. 

Quite a few mentioned that their photo shoot felt personalized. We found this to be because Lance was able to match each of his client’s visions and show it through the output. 

To be able to do this, we think you should have unlimited ideas and years of experience which are exactly why Lance can pull it off. 

This is why we found it surprising that this is one of the most affordable options in the city. You get a lot of what you pay for because the photographer is skilled and talented. 

Additionally, most clients mentioned that Lance was able to make the photo shoots fun. We were surprised by the number of people who said this because that wouldn’t be the first word that will come to mind when we think of headshots!

This is mostly because of Lance’s work ethic and his ability to make shoots feel like a breeze. 

During our shoot with him, we can say that he knows what he’s doing. He provided us with a lot of his ideas, so our time with him was maximized. 

It felt like we were so productive that we were able to get the most out of the shoot. 

While we and a lot of his clients feel like it’s money well spent, there were a few who mentioned that the things included in the packages were less than a lot of services out there. 

We do agree on this because some include makeup artists and such. 

However, if you’re looking for a no-fuzz photoshoot package where all you need is the photographer and some good-quality photos, we think Lance Reis could be a wise option.
