Pros

  • Lengthy cocktail menu
  • Cocktail expertise
  • Affordable drinks

Cons

  • Limited food menu
  • Interior design is nothing fancy

If you’re looking for classic, quality cocktails, then this top-notch cocktail bar is for you.

We love Vintage Cocktail Lounge’s no-fuss, laid-back atmosphere that allows you to just sit back, relax, and enjoy your drink.

We appreciate their straightforward promise: “cocktails made right.” The large menu features trusted classics at accessible prices, mostly around the $10 mark.

They pride themselves on their cocktail-making skills and even offer custom cocktails starting at $12. If you want to be pleasantly surprised, go for it!

Happy hour is from 4 PM – 6 PM every day. Within those two hours, you can enjoy a curated menu of cocktails for only $6.

Not quite up for a cocktail? All their wines and beers are also available for just $5 during happy hour.

However, this isn’t your place to go if you’re looking for something beyond the usual bar food. Half the food menu is an assortment of their hotdog sandwiches plus your typical bar grub.

The place looks like your average bar, but if you’re not looking for anything high-end, it shouldn’t be a problem.

No need to come up to the bar when ordering. When you arrive at this rustic, cozy spot, ask the host to be seated. You can access the menu with a QR code, and they’ll come to your table to serve you.

We like that they prioritize the health and safety of their patrons and staff. Masks are required when not seated at the table, and social distancing is highly encouraged.

Pros

  • Full-service bar
  • You can order from the restaurant below
  • Scenic views, fun vibe

Cons

  • Only open in fair weather

The Roof Deck is all about the view, but it’s also a place to have fun with friends and family while enjoying affordable food and drinks.

They open from 12 PM until late or as long as the weather permits. Minors can come in with a parent or guardian until 6 PM. After that, it’s only open to adults 21 and up.

You can order food from the full kitchen at Show Bar below and bring your food up to the Roof Deck.

Food options include their classic burgers, pizzas, and a simple assortment of salads and sides, but that’s just about it.

You might want to fill your tummies ahead before reveling, as customers usually fret about how limited their food selection is.

In any case, you can ask them about their Burger of the Month for a unique treat!

They also offer a Cocktail of the Month with a concoction perfect for the season for $10. Roof Deck is considered a popular spot to enjoy draft beer. You can check their list of offerings when you visit.

The drinks menu also shows their own offering of cocktails, including some options made only with premium ingredients, bottled and canned beers, and wines.

If you’re not sure what to get, we love that they offer expert advice to help you pick from their curated menu.

Happy hour is from 3 PM – 4 PM on weekdays. Drafts, wells, and margaritas go for $5 and Rainier Drafts for just $3. We appreciate that they offer great deals such as an ounce of a spirit for half the price to go with your beer.

We do have to make this caveat, especially for the ones expecting a rave scene, their place gets a little crowded and too hot for dancing. They also don’t impose a strict mask-on policy inside.

This might be uncomfortable for those conscious about social distancing and keeping some basic health protocols.

Nevertheless, if you’re looking to simply relax, they offer a great view and an even greater selection of drinks!

Pros

  • High-quality cocktails
  • Great ambiance
  • Private room available

Cons

  • Limited food menu

If you’re looking for top-quality drinks, look no further. Since 2007, Teardrop has been serving cocktail classics as well as unique flavor combinations you’d love.

They’ve been rated among the best bars in America by Esquire, Food & Wine, Travel + Leisure, Playboy, and Sunset Magazine. Plus, they have a distinction for Bartenders of the Year from Portland Monthly.

Its pristine reputation means you may have to wait to get seated. You can make reservations for Fridays and Saturdays for a group of no more than eight people. We love that reservations are seated in their own room in Crybaby, adjacent to the main bar.

If your group is bigger or if you’re looking to host a private cocktail party, Crybaby is also open for events with up to 50 guests.

The overall vibe is clean and high-class. The impressive interior would look great in pictures.

While quality comes with a price, it’s surely worth your money. The cocktails and wines start at $10 and bottled beers at $5 and $6.

The food menu is standard finger foods and charcuterie board items at reasonable prices. Teardrop is all about drinks, so don’t expect full meals here.

Patrons also love the great service and very kind bartenders. Not sure what you want? Let them know what you’re thinking and let the experts decide!

4. Pink Rabbit

Pros

  • Great music
  • Fun aesthetic and vibe
  • Accommodating

Cons

  • Can get a bit loud

The Pink Rabbit lives up to its name by really leaning into the pink aesthetic. The bright neon pink with speakers playing hit after hit makes it the go-to place for a fun evening.

Branding itself as a Cocktail Bar + Kitchen, they highlight exactly what they do best.

Their cocktail menu is sorted by taste and vibe so you can easily narrow down your choices—or just go with the classics. Beers and wines are also available, and checking out their specials is also worth your time.

They’re serious about the kitchen part of their business too. Their food offering is called “Good Food” on their menu and for good reason.

With an ingredient-focused food selection, they aim for quality and sustainability.

The menu is heavily Asian or Asian-inspired. Vegetarian options are also available.

We love that the bartenders are more than willing to help you navigate through any allergies you may have.

Happy Hour is from 3 PM – 6 PM daily with quite a basic selection of their cocktails for $11. Within those three hours, their snacks are also available for a more accessible price.

Some of the drinks can get a little pricey, as few of their customers point out. For example, one mango rum concoction costs $15.

Their music also gets too loud for a sit-down bar, especially during the weekends.

This might not work for those who simply want to relax or enjoy conversations with their friends and loved ones.

Nevertheless, we still think it’s great that they deliver genuine hospitality and a warm community. If that’s your style, the Pink Rabbit is for you!

5. Bible Club PDX

Pros

  • Decor commits to the theme
  • Customer-focused service
  • Live music every Friday and Saturday

Cons

  • You can’t bring drinks from The Speakeasy to The Patio and vice versa

Bible Club PDX nails prohibition era aesthetics down to a T. Step inside and be transported back to the 1920s to enjoy delicious food and well-crafted drinks.

The Speakeasy is an intimate space where you can catch up with your significant other or friends. They don’t take reservations, so come early if you want to get a seat.

Due to the size of the space and the antique decor, they strictly refuse to accommodate parties larger than six.

However, you can still be seated outdoors at The Patio. It’s covered all throughout the year and heating is available for the colder months.

The Patio features a counter service-style outdoor bar with live performances by local musicians every Friday and Saturday.

Can’t leave your furry friend back home? Dogs are welcome in this area!

The drink menu is cleverly named Ten Commandments and features a well-curated selection of cocktails. Prices start at $13.

Whiskey lovers would be delighted with their options. Under “Dessert,” you can find sweeter alcoholic mixes.

“Provisions,” or their food menu, includes appetizers, mains, and finger foods you can snack on while you drink. Customers rate their food “above par” and “excellent,” so we’re confident to recommend them.

Pros

  • Affordable food options
  • Quality-crafted beer
  • Convenient location

Cons

  • Food menu is limited
  • Operating hours unavailable

Home A Bar is an eatery that provides customers with an excellent range of burgers, sandwiches, and appetizers along with a good menu of beers to accommodate clients during Happy Hours and an overall fun dining experience.

We like that they are conveniently located in the middle of the neighborhood so interested customers will have no hassle making their way to the said place and trying out their food.

Furthermore, though their menus are simple and straightforward when it comes to dishes, they do offer vegetarian options for customers who aren’t fans of meaty dishes.

Note though that their menu is limited and has fewer choices when it comes to serving full-range meals that are excellent for lunch and dinner.

Nonetheless, with their fun and cozy interior, accommodating customer service, hearty snacks, and artisan beer choices, we highly recommend them to individuals in the area looking for a place to satisfy their snack cravings.

Pros

  • Exceptional customer service
  • High-quality products
  • Innovative technology solutions
  • Strong ethical values

Cons

  • Busy during peak days

Swine Restaurant is a culinary oasis that tickles our taste buds and libations that delight our senses. Our journey through this swanky establishment left us craving for more.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like royalty. Our needs were anticipated before we even knew them ourselves. Bravo, Swine, for setting the bar so high.

The bar, a centerpiece of this establishment, is a shrine to mixology. Our palates danced with joy as we sampled their inventive concoctions. The ‘Swine Signature Sling’ was a masterpiece of balance, and the ‘Bourbon Bliss’ was a revelation.

Swine Restaurant’s menu is a triumph of culinary innovation. Each dish is a work of art, both visually and in taste. The ‘Bacon-Wrapped Scallops’ were an exquisite blend of textures, and the ‘Pork Belly Tacos’ were a symphony of flavors.

Quality is paramount here. Every ingredient is carefully sourced, and it shows in every bite. From the succulent meats to the freshest produce, Swine spares no expense to ensure an unforgettable dining experience.

While Swine Restaurant may not be the most budget-friendly option, it’s an investment in an experience that you won’t soon forget. You get what you pay for, and here, you pay for excellence.

However, they don’t offer promos at the present. We suggest checking their website for other affordable deals.

Pros

  • Open seven days a week
  • Wide selection of menu items offered
  • Casual and comfortable dining experience

Cons

  • Slightly limited happy hours

Portland Sports Bar & Grill is a family-owned and operated restaurant that specializes in offering its customers an excellent variation of delectable gourmet burgers, sandwiches, and wraps accompanied by an excellent selection of beverages.

Established back in 2009, they have since then been providing their customers with an exciting and enthralling dining experience during their happy hour promotions for more affordable discounts and better meal and beverage deals.

Aside from this, their food menu items are made with an excellent combination of ingredients to give clients a fantastic blend of the flavor of their favorite burger ingredients such as lettuce, onion, pickles, and spread among others.

Note though that their happy hour menu is only available for a total of three hours per day since it is only open every 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm which interested clients may need to expect an influx of customers by then.

Overall, with their exceptional customer and dining experience, diverse selection of menu items readily offered to clients, and an affordable selection of menu items, we highly recommend interested clients check them out
