One other thing that we like is that they evaluate guest dogs based on their stay with them. This is a fantastic way to provide furparents better insight on their babies, so that they can adjust their method of care and training accordingly.

Another feature that we appreciate is their mobile playgroup service. In our opinion, this service is perfect for clients who can’t drive their dogs to the daycare facility – it’s like a carpool for dogs, and it just makes the entire experience more fun! 

This service is also good for dogs who are extra-playful and sometimes destructive at home, as playgroups like this can keep them occupied and active. We think this venue gives them a wonderful and productive space to release pent-up energy.

We also like that the management screens and controls the number of dogs that they check in to make sure that they can keep tabs on every guest they have. 

We do have to note that this policy limits the guest dogs that can be accommodated.

What we like best about their specialized services is the night care that they offer. This is especially beneficial for dog-owners who are in the medical field or those who are working night shifts in their professions.

We think it’s important to highlight this feature because this allows fur-parents to entrust their babies for a few hours at night without having to pay for an overnight boarding. 

They also provide special care for dogs who aren’t comfortable socializing. Although, we have to point out that they’ve discouraged receiving elderly and infirmed dogs since the Covid-19 pandemic.

Additionally, we think their pre-boarding services are excellent for dog owners who are hesitating to have their pets checked in, worried that they might not like a new environment. 

We appreciate that Safe Journey developed a unique service called “Free Day” which is offered to dogs who are checking in for the first time. 

During the “Free Day”, dog owners are asked to bring their dogs to the facility and stay with them, while they acclimate to the environment in the facility. This is always scheduled before checking them in for an overnight, or a longer stay. 

In our opinion, this allows dog owners to make a more informed choice whether to check in their dogs in the facility. And if they do choose to, it gives them peace of mind knowing that their dogs have already adjusted to the facility’s environment.

Over the years, we think they’ve successfully developed a service that caters two important features in a dog hotel: security, and high quality care.

We like that they’ve prepared security measures that assure clients of their dog’s safety, even in cases of emergencies.

For starters, they’re staffed 24/7. They’ve also installed smoke detection systems that alert the police and fire department should any emergency arise.

They even impose strict boarding requirements before accepting guest dogs in their hotel. These include a veterinarian proof of vaccination against several dog diseases such as rabies, canine influenza, and bordetella. 

While preparing these requirements can be tedious work, we believe this policy ensures their clients that their pets are protected from illnesses while they’re inside the hotel. 

We also like that they offer the Sniff Suite option, which for us defines the quality of their services.  

We say this because under this option, the guest dogs are placed in an exclusive room with added privacy and ventilation. They’re also given one-on-one staff attention and private services as well.

This extra offer works well for clients who maintain a certain standard of care for their dogs, and for dogs who also prefer to be pampered alone than play in groups.
