Maloy’s Jewelry is a trusted jewelry store that works on all kinds of jewelry and accessories such as rings, necklaces, bracelets, pins, and even watches!

Most of their clients approach them to have their vintage jewelry repaired, and Maloy’s handles them with the care they require.

They can restore vintage jewelry to look brand new with the help of modern technology. However, there are limitations to the services they can do depending on the state of your jewelry, but they’ll let you know of this in advance.

You’ll have to make a personal visit to get a cost estimate, as they’ll have to assess the item in person, and the majority of their customers have found their prices to be fair.

A few did, however, find the rates to be overpriced with regard to the services they required, so it may be best for you to do some preliminary research to find out the standard price range for the repairs you’ll need.

There were more complaints about their customer service, which we found inconsistent. Some had claimed that the staff wasn’t as friendly or helpful when it came to addressing their concerns, but this depends on the staff present.

Furthermore, there were customers who were unsatisfied with the services they received and weren’t given a full refund when they requested it.

Medallion Jewelers provides all kinds of jewelry services. You can buy jewelry from them or have a custom design made, sell some of your old jewelry, and have some repairs done.

They specialize in diamonds and engagement rings, but they work with almost every piece of jewelry. This will be subject to their evaluation, but you can simply call or email them to ask if they can conduct the service you require.

The majority of their customers were pleased with the quality of service they received, from the repair itself to the staff that assisted them. According to them, the staff was responsive and quick to address any of their concerns.

Another plus is that Medallion Jewelers’ owner, Alex, is understanding of budgets and can make special accommodations for you. Not only that, but they also have same-day services for small repairs.

But of course, no business is perfect, and there have been some instances of mistakes made during the repairs. 

Some customers claimed that their rings were resized to the wrong size. Another’s jewelry came back in a different shape.

If it’s any consolation, Medallion Jewelers was quick to address these issues and offered additional services with no additional charge to the customers.

There were also a few customers who were unsatisfied with the customer service they received, and we found out this was mostly due to miscommunication between them and the staff.

However, these complaints came from a small number of the customers we’ve spoken to and don’t represent the majority.

Nielsen’s Jewelers has been in business for more than 100 years. A business that’s stayed running that long has surely built a reputation for excellence.

They’ve been owned by the same family since they opened in 1892, and their high standards for their services have remained the same too.

Customers keep coming back because of the excellent quality they receive from the store, may it be in the customer service or the actual repair service. In fact, many of their customers have sworn by their services for years!

We found out that this is because their jewelers take their time in understanding what you want for your jewelry, and they do their best to meet your vision. They’re also open to feedback and will respect any of your suggestions along the way.

However, there’s a likelihood that they can’t provide the service you require, especially when it comes to watches. To save yourself some time, it will be best to contact them to ask if they offer the specific service you require.

We can’t mark off too many points for this because they don’t specialize in watch repair. But they do work with diamonds, bridal jewelry, gold, silver, and gemstones.

Another concern we have is that they can unexpectedly close outside of holidays and weekends, which can be inconvenient if you’re heading to their location.

We suggest that before visiting, call them up to confirm that they’re open.

Vent has four jewelers in their store, and they’re most popular for the unique pieces they sell. Other than that, they also offer jewelry repair, specializing in silver, gold, and platinum.

They can also do other services like jewelry redesign, stone mounting, and reshaping, but be sure to consult them about your item first by sending them an email with photos of the piece to be repaired.

Most of their customers are appreciative of how hands-on the owner Karlea is, and she oversees everything in Vent. But even if another jeweler is taking care of your items, we’ve found all of them to be careful and thorough in their work.

Customers were also pleased with their prices, which are dependent on the service you need and whether it requires stones. Pricing is transparent, and you’ll be aware of every single charge before you pay.

We strongly suggest that you contact them before visiting them, especially since they’re only open five hours a day from Fridays to Sundays. They don’t require appointments, and you can simply walk in to avail of a service.

You are, however, free to contact them outside of those days, and they respond quickly. It’s also best that you do this before walking in since it’s possible they can’t do a specific kind of repair.

Unfortunately, they don’t do any services for watches at all.

But if they can give you the service you require, we’re confident they can give you service of the best quality and give your jewelry back to you within the agreed time.

Alchemy is known for the fine jewelry they sell, but they also repair jewelry regardless of whether or not it was bought from their store.

What we like best about their jewelers is that they’re thorough in their evaluation and will give you an honest opinion about the limitations of the repair they can do.

They’ll also set realistic expectations for how your piece will turn out.

Their customers appreciated this about them too and were overall satisfied with the customer service they received. It’s a bonus that the customers said they were friendly and easy to work with. 

Alchemy mostly focuses on their jewelry sales and custom pieces, and while the quality of their repair isn’t sacrificed, it does mean they offer fewer services than others on this list.

They’re selective of the jewelry they accept for repair and will only work on fine jewelry and 14k–24k gold and platinum metals. If your piece doesn’t fit this standard, it’s best to give them a call to confirm if they can entertain your request.

If you do plan to get your jewelry repaired from them, do note that they’re strictly by appointment and don’t take walk-ins.

While we understand the reasons for this, there have been some customers who weren’t pleased that they weren’t entertained without a scheduled appointment.
