Clients often express gratitude for the smooth buying process they had with Curtis, which is truly their selling point in our opinion. It’s a one-on-one sales experience, so it’s certain to be an easy (and far safer) purchase.

We’ve heard that their staff is friendly in helping clients in finding the perfect unit and getting a fair price using their available financing options. Of course, they show the customers how to use and enjoy their new unit, which, for us, is a fitting end to the entire process.

On top of it all, they service what they sell. In this regard, their skilled technicians can be relied on for everything from routine maintenance to major repairs, as well as trailer hitch accessories – pretty good after-sales support.

There’s just a bit of a hiccup, at least for those customers who traded in vehicles (yes, they accept trade-ins). There were complaints about additional fees for issue/s even after all paperwork, financing, and Curtis trailer fees had been paid.

We also appreciate that their phone line is always available to assist concerned customers, even offering a personal appointment if the issue is quite serious. This is despite their limited business hours, so safe to say they’re going beyond for their clients.

On the other hand, we don’t think everyone will be interested in their inventory because they specialize in utility trailers (no travel trailers in-store). They primarily use open-air trailers (flatbeds, goosenecks, etc.), but they also use enclosed trailers.

Now, we appreciate that all of their inventory, including specifications and pricing, is available on their website. However, based on the reviews, it appears that the majority of those who went to purchase in person found their customer service to be unfriendly.

This didn’t surprise us, as most of their bad reviews are about their salespeople, who don’t appear to be interested in actually selling their products. We’re certainly impressed by their trailers and after-sales support, but we believe they should invest more in customer service.

Online inventory is very important to us because it saves the client time from having to go to the physical store, and the lack of inventory on Mount Trailer’s website is quite a turn-off. However, this does not necessarily affect our overall opinion of them, for now.

We also heard from in-person clients that the company’s location is a little small for such a large business. Well, this is just to give you an idea if you ever want to visit them to look for a trailer, though we have nothing against it per se.
