Pros
- Manufactures trailers for over 25 years
- Wide selections of trailers
- Has available heavy-duty trailers
- Warranties on every trailer they sell
- Financing available
Cons
- Few clients complaints about expectations
- Minor issues of unauthorized purchases of trailer accessories
Whether you’re looking to upgrade your weekend adventures or take your business to the next level, TrailersPlus Portland has an incredible selection of trailers. We don’t kid when we say they have everything you need: cargo trailers, dump trailers, and equipment trailers.
We find their store so easy to access that you don’t even need to go there to browse the trailers. Their website is packed with everything you need to know about each of their trailers – the size, price, and the number of trailers in stock, making it an easy shopping experience for you.
If the available sizes and capacities don’t meet your needs, you can browse their inventory of Interstate trailers for sale. It’s a trailer built like a tank and designed for interstate driving, keeping the trailer safe from any road hazards ahead.
Another factor that made them win our favor was the warranty that their customers can obtain on each trailer they purchased. And even if you only hire them to repair your own trailer, it’s still backed by a 30-day satisfaction guarantee.
Despite all of the positive things we’ve mentioned, we discovered some poor notes.
There have been reports of purchased trailers not being the exact trailer shown on their website. Additionally, there were reports of unauthorized purchases of trailer accessories once the client’s credit/debit card is on file.
Still, we think they are still among the more reliable in the industry, as evidenced by having been in business for over 25 years. Plus, they are a national trailer dealer with a track record of 400,000 satisfied customers across the United States, and that speaks to their reputation.

Pros
- A full-service RV dealership
- Sells America’s top RV brands of any kind
- Accepts trade-ins
- Praised for their smooth buying process
- Has skilled technicians and installers for repair and maintenance
- Also supply camping accessories
Cons
- Issues with charging additional fees for trade-ins
Despite the fact that they only sell one type of trailer, Curtis Trailers still won our favor for their expertise and attitude. When it comes to RV trailers, this company is a frontrunner in the game, landing them a sweet spot on this list.
For starters, they’re a full-service RV dealership featuring America’s top RV brands. They have every kind of recreational trailer you could think of: travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, tent trailers, and pickup campers.
Clients often express gratitude for the smooth buying process they had with Curtis, which is truly their selling point in our opinion. It’s a one-on-one sales experience, so it’s certain to be an easy (and far safer) purchase.
We’ve heard that their staff is friendly in helping clients in finding the perfect unit and getting a fair price using their available financing options. Of course, they show the customers how to use and enjoy their new unit, which, for us, is a fitting end to the entire process.
On top of it all, they service what they sell. In this regard, their skilled technicians can be relied on for everything from routine maintenance to major repairs, as well as trailer hitch accessories – pretty good after-sales support.
There’s just a bit of a hiccup, at least for those customers who traded in vehicles (yes, they accept trade-ins). There were complaints about additional fees for issue/s even after all paperwork, financing, and Curtis trailer fees had been paid.

Pros
- Mostly sells utility trailers
- Great with after-sales support
- Phone line is always available
- Carries a large selection of new and pre-owned inventory
- All of their inventory is available on their website
- Conveniently located near the areas of the Portland Metro Area
Cons
- Complaints about unfriendly customer service
We like that Trailer City values the opportunity to create a long-term relationship with their customers. And we believe they achieve this by providing overwhelming after-sales support to their clients.
They’re well-regarded for their maintenance service, all thanks to their highly trained technicians who, if necessary, repair their clients’ trailers. We found that they have the right tools and experience for the job, which is very reassuring to us.
We also appreciate that their phone line is always available to assist concerned customers, even offering a personal appointment if the issue is quite serious. This is despite their limited business hours, so safe to say they’re going beyond for their clients.
On the other hand, we don’t think everyone will be interested in their inventory because they specialize in utility trailers (no travel trailers in-store). They primarily use open-air trailers (flatbeds, goosenecks, etc.), but they also use enclosed trailers.
Now, we appreciate that all of their inventory, including specifications and pricing, is available on their website. However, based on the reviews, it appears that the majority of those who went to purchase in person found their customer service to be unfriendly.
This didn’t surprise us, as most of their bad reviews are about their salespeople, who don’t appear to be interested in actually selling their products. We’re certainly impressed by their trailers and after-sales support, but we believe they should invest more in customer service.

Pros
- Wide range of product offering (new and used trailers for sale)
- Customizes trailers
- Solid customer service
- Also serves as a repair shop
- Charges at competitive rates
Cons
- No product inventory on their website
- Small location
With their diverse product offerings, strong customer service, and technical support, we reckon Mount Trailer Company is uniquely suited for your needs. They’ve been in the business since 1970, which perhaps explains their reputation in the industry.
They have new and used trailers in stock, including popular trailers like reefer, dry van, flatbed, refrigerated trailers, and rolling tarp systems.
Customizing trailers is another area of expertise for them, and this is, by the way, their most popular product, which is made to your specifications.
When it comes to customer service, they’ve gained nothing but applause from their current and previous customers. Well, there’s no such thing as perfection, which is why, despite some minor setbacks, their overall treatment of customers still meets our expectations.
As Mount Trailer Company also serves as a standalone repair shop – clients can also expect beneficial technical support from them. Their full-service facility can repair all makes and brands of trailers, even those that were not purchased from them.
Online inventory is very important to us because it saves the client time from having to go to the physical store, and the lack of inventory on Mount Trailer’s website is quite a turn-off. However, this does not necessarily affect our overall opinion of them, for now.
We also heard from in-person clients that the company’s location is a little small for such a large business. Well, this is just to give you an idea if you ever want to visit them to look for a trailer, though we have nothing against it per se.

Pros
- Over 20 years of experience in the business
- Manufactures and sells a wide range of trailers
- Highly-demanded for custom-made trailers
- Heavy duty trailers available
- Trailers meet U.S. DOT’s Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and Regulations
Cons
- Quite pricey
- Minor complaints about slow turnaround times for customized products
Eagle Trailer produces high-quality, one-of-a-kind trailers for their dealers while also catering to their individual customers. As a trailer manufacturer, we can confidently say that they can be relied on for a superior kind of trailer.
Not only that, but they’re in high demand for custom-made trailers, which we believe gives them an advantage over their competitors in the industry. This is also an excellent opportunity for those looking for a specific-made storage capacity.
Talking about the quality of their product, it can surely be ideal for a huge deal of materials. They feature models of trailers in steel and aluminum, which are perfect for everyday commercial and recreational use.
They have everything when it comes to trailer types too. They sell trailers ranging from tilt bed trailers, dump trailers, flatbed trailers, gooseneck trailers, tiny home trailers, and food trailers – you’ll never be short of products to choose from.
If you ask us, there doesn’t seem to be much to be concerned about in terms of the quality of their trailers.
However, there are some minor issues with their overall service. Some of their clients who chose them for customized trailers complained about long turnaround times.
There were also some comments about the price being too high, but this is very reasonable for us considering that they customized and manufactured the trailer themselves. Plus, Eagle Trailer has been doing this for over 20 years, so their trailers are not to be overlooked.
