Pros

  • Offers dine-in, takeout, and delivery
  • Has vegan options
  • Accepts credit cards

Cons

  • Some missing toppings
  • Poor customer service

If you’re looking for an authentic New York-style pizza, Baby Doll Pizza can deliver it for you, wherever you are in Portland.

We love that they deliver all across Portland: south to Powell, north to Knott Street, west to the river, and east to 60th.

Outside of their delivery range? There’s no need to fret.

They partnered with Caviar, an online delivery app where customers out of their delivery range can place their orders.

Just make sure you have your orders right, as they don’t entertain any change of orders once you’ve confirmed them.

They also offer fantastic food and drink options!

Starting with their pizzas, we love that their thick dough is topped with locally sourced vegetables and meats. This is great for foodies who like a good balance of veggies and meat on their pizza.

Their sandwiches and salads are great additions too. But their beer and wine make the perfect pair for your pizza!

If you’re having a sleepover with your friends, they offer delivery for groups too. They also offer large-size pizzas.

Customers are free to customize their pizza and choose the type of slice and portion sizes they want.

Unfortunately, there’s a significant number of customers who didn’t like their customer service. Some of their pizzas were missing toppings, and the staff was also rude.

Pros

  • Offers thick-crust pizza
  • Has vegan options

Cons

  • Some order mix-ups
  • Greasy and saucy, which may not fit some people’s tastes

Rudy’s Gourmet Pizza is your ticked and verified pizza parlor that offers excellent delivery service.

Through the years, they’ve built a reputation for fast delivery, so you can expect their pizza delivered fresh and warm.

We love that customers can conveniently place their orders through Postmates.

Presently, Rudy’s can only deliver to the southeast side of Portland. In any case, customers outside their delivery range can still place their orders through UberEats, GrubHub, or DoorDash.

A few customers also noted that they’ve experienced getting the wrong pizzas. Make sure to confirm your orders with Rudy’s and Postmates to avoid mix-ups.

We love that they categorized their menu into vegan and traditional. We think it makes it easier for customers to find a dish that works with their diet and still satisfies their cravings.

Between these two, their vegan menu definitely takes the win.

A significant number of their customers loved their vegan options. In fact, some would say their vegan pizza was so good that they couldn’t tell it was vegan.

If you’re looking for meat alternatives, Rudy’s might just be the best choice for you.

Their menu also includes wings and salads if you like pairing them with your pizza.

The pizzas they serve are also more of the greasy and saucy type of pizza. If you prefer lighter and cleaner slices, their style might not work for you.

3. Apizza Scholls

Pros

  • Offers delivery and takeout
  • Accepts credit card

Cons

  • Some order mix-ups
  • Pricey service fee for groups

Apizza says they serve the best Neapolitan pizza in the Pacific Northwest, and they might just be right.

Sold for $16, their Neapolitan pizza is stuffed with a ricotta, mozzarella, julienned soppressata, and padano blend. It also comes with a 1 to 4-oz sauce served on the side.

You can also order half and half if you feel like exploring their flavors. Their New York-style pizza is another crowd favorite.

Customers, however, have mixed feelings about their crust.

Some love that their crust is crunchy and charred outside. While others say, it’s too burnt and too thin.

In any case, they also serve salads, wedges, and dessert as well as beers and ciders if you feel like having something else.

You can have all these tasty treats delivered right to your doorstep. Apizza offers delivery services through Ubereats and DoorDash.

However, they charge additional service fees depending on the number of pies ordered.

They charge an 18% service fee on all orders and 20% on orders of four or more pies.

This can be too costly especially if you’re ordering for big groups.

A few customers also experienced getting the wrong pizzas. Some orders were abruptly canceled as well.

Time for delivery can also be inconsistent. Some got their pizzas fresh and hot, while others were left with cold ones.

It’s best to actively track your orders and ask for updates once in a while to avoid late deliveries.

4. Scottie’s Pizza Parlor

Pros

  • Vegan options
  • All staff is fully vaccinated

Cons

  • Some online orders were canceled abruptly
  • Sells out fast

Looking for a healthier option? Scottie’s Pizza features all-organic and locally sourced fresh ingredients.

In fact, their naturally leavened pizza dough is made from wheat grown in the Pacific Northwest, slowly fermented before baking, and the result? A crisp and airy crust so full of flavor yet so light!

And to cap off this pizza fantasy, their sauce is made of California-grown tomatoes! We think it’s the perfect ingredient that completes their fresh pizza.

They also offer par-baked pizza—unsliced pies sold with toppings. Customers can reheat these pies in their own homes whenever they want.

We think it’s great for spontaneous movie nights or just late-night binge eating.

Pizza delivery is also pretty easy with them. We love that customers can place their orders online through their website or through a call.

Ordering through their website is simple. A new tab will open where customers can input their location and track their orders.

A few customers noted that some orders made online got canceled abruptly, and a charge of 20% service fee was automatically made.

It’s also difficult to order when they only start answering their phone at 1 PM and they sell out fast. It’s best to make your calls early in the afternoon.

5. Life of Pie Pizza

Pros

  • Accepts credit cards
  • Offers beer and wine
  • Offers happy hour specials

Cons

  • Long wait
  • Small portions

Life of Pie is known for their sought-after pizza specially baked in a wood-fired oven.

While their pizza menu isn’t that long of a list, we did spot some interesting ones such as their Margherita with mozzarella, marinara, and fresh basil and their bacon, goat cheese, leeks, caramelized onions, and EVOO-base pizza.

They also serve some starters and spaghetti if you feel like going all out.

But the true star of their menu is their crust.

Fresh out of their wood-fired oven, the crust in their pizza yields a charred and smoky flavor. The texture is crispy at the bottom but still chewy inside.

And the best part is? You can have all this goodness in the comforts of your own home.

Life of Pie offers delivery services. Customers can place their orders through their website or through food delivery apps.

However, the place is often swamped and busy, so customers sometimes find it difficult to place their orders for delivery.

Unfortunately, there’s also quite a wait before customers can enjoy their orders. The delivery takes too long, some customers receive cold and burnt pizzas.

The portions are also too small as a few customers point out. But some agree that the flavor in each pie makes up for its size.
