One of the reasons we added Bolliger Window Fashions & Interiors to our list of best window blinds stores in Portland is the way they handle the installation.

When we got the chance to reach out to their clients, we found most of them saying the same thing: that how this window treatment store installed their blinds was nothing short of amazing. 

Many said it was fast and the person who installed it every time was quick and efficient. A lot of people even say that their experience from start to finish was flawless. 

This was mostly because the designer was also great at handling client concerns. Whether the budget was strict or not, the designer seemed to always find a way.  

Additionally, there were a lot of clients who said that their blinds held up great in the years after. This is because the quality of the window blinds they sell here is top-notch. 

While they might be on the pricier side, it seems that they last longer. This makes it cheaper in the long run if you think about it because you don’t have to change your blinds ever so often. 

That being said, we still did find a few nitpicks for this shop.

For example, there were a few customers who said that the customer service that they got was poor. This is because of the lack of response and sometimes, their concerns were dealt with late. 

We know this could be frustrating, but we’d also like to add that there were only a few people who mentioned this. As such, it’s the experience of the minority. 

There were a lot of things that clients found useful with Budget Blinds of Central Portland. We think this is the appeal that they found here because it makes the quality of their shopping experience much better. 

For instance, the clients we talked to said that the in-house designer provides a lot of helpful ideas. We think so too because based on our experience, the designer gave us options that helped us with making a wiser decision. 

We found it quite convenient that you can request a free in-home and virtual consultation with them. All you need to do is go to their website and input some information. 

To our surprise, they respond pretty fast. They contacted us within the day. 

For some clients, it was the same, while for some it was the day after. Still, a next-day response remains very good considering the number of clients they might be getting per day. 

We also love the variety of blinds they offer because it provides us with more options. To name a few, there are faux wood blinds, vinyl blinds, vertical blinds, and aluminum blinds. 

This window treatment store was able to explain to us the difference between each one as well, which we appreciate. We think that going in with zero knowledge could cause a bit of frustration because of the number of options, so we like how informative they were. 

When talking to their clients, we also noticed that some weren’t quite happy. They mentioned that the craftsmanship of the blinds they received was poor. 

Most of the time, this was because the measurement was wrong. 

That being said, the store replaced the blinds, so ultimately, the client was able to receive the product they asked for. 

What we loved most about this window treatment store is that they offer free swatches and measurements. This is something we don’t see often, especially the free swatches. 

Other customers seemed to have loved it too. We learned this when we had a chat with them to see what they thought about The Shade Store. 

A lot of them said that they received the swatches quickly. Additionally, they confirmed that they weren’t charged and weren’t pressured into buying anything afterward. 

We also learned from the clients that The Shade Store finishes their job on time. This was also what we experienced, but it was nice to know that most of their clients could say the same. 

The staff provided the timeline and we were happy that they stuck by it. This is one of the reasons why we consider their process to be fast. Aside from finishing on time, the selecting, ordering, and delivery was also quite fast. 

We think this is why a lot of clients mentioned their experience was stress-free. With the way The Shade Store deals with clients’ orders, this is to be expected. 

Additionally, the pricing they provide is fair, especially if you take into consideration the whole experience you’ll get out of shopping from them. 

Of course, there were also a few clients who weren’t completely happy. It was mostly because of the customer service: they said that the staff didn’t engage with them during their time there. 

If you’re looking for someone who has proven their worth as a company through years of service, A to Z Blinds might be perfect for you. 

They’ve been around for 40 years, so you can trust they know the ins and outs of choosing the perfect window blinds. 

We reached out to their clients to figure out what other things make this shop special. A lot of people recommended it to us, so there had to be more, right?

Well, first off, a lot of clients we talked to raved about the free repairs. Some broke some parts of their blinds by accident, but A to Z Blinds was kind enough to fix it as soon as possible. 

We love how even after purchasing and installation, their clients are still well taken care of. We think this is something that’s not guaranteed in most shops, so we were glad that a lot of clients were able to vouch for this. 

The prices of their blinds were also quite affordable considering the quality that you get. This is why if you’re on a tighter budget, it might be work checking this out. 

Additionally, they will provide you with a lot of options, so you’re very likely to find what you’re looking for. The inventory is pretty big.

Most clients we talked to also mentioned that the delivery was quick. Based on the information we gathered as well as our experience, everyone moves efficiently here, so the process moves much faster. 

There were, however, some clients who experienced a lack of response from A to Z blinds. We’re not quite sure why that’s the case, but it seems to happen rarely. 

We think that the probability of you experiencing the same thing would be quite low if we based it on what most had to say. That being said, you can most likely shop at A to Z blinds with ease. 

We spent an afternoon interviewing some of this shop’s clients and asked them what made them pick this window treatment store for their window blinds. 

As expected, we received different answers. Despite that, there seemed to be a common denominator across all of their responses. 

Apparently, most people went here because of their skill with custom orders. We found that this is one of their fortes, so we decided to investigate further. 

It seems that they can deal with custom blind orders no matter what the shape and size. The range of custom orders provided by their clients to us as samples was fairly impressive.

Additionally, we discovered that they accept bulk orders and whole house custom orders. You would just need a consultation with the CEO, Zach, to see what they can do. 

We also learned that there were clients who went here for affordable pricing. If we based it on the quality of the window blinds and the service we received, we can confirm it was affordable. 

The employees were also able to stay on schedule, so we didn’t experience any unnecessary frustration that would come with our orders being late. 

Plus, they have quite a bit of experience providing blinds for commercial clients too.

We were also able to talk to several clients who had complaints about Valley Shades. They all said that this window treatment store didn’t respond consistently to them online. 

That seems to be a common issue for a lot of these shops, however, and a minority experience. Still, our recommendation is to contact them through other channels or visit them personally for the best experience.
