The Lash Lounge stood out for its serious approach to lash health. The stylist vetoed my request for long-lasting and bold lashes, insisting that my baby-fine lashes would fall off if I went too bold. She even used diagrams to explain what my lashes could handle. 

Even with the limitations, I like how she still managed to give me a look that made my eyes pop. It wasn’t overly dramatic, and I didn’t have to worry about waking up to half my lashes on my pillow. 

The extensions themselves are synthetic, so I wasn’t too pleased with that. But I did like how these extensions undergo a double-heat roll process, meaning they retain their curl. 

Others told me that even after a few weeks, their lashes still looked like they had just left the salon. 

If you’re thinking about making this place your regular spot, their membership is quite tempting. It comes with two discounted refills a month and deals on their products. 

But unless you’re committed to the lash life, I’d say their membership isn’t worth it due to the price.

Lash Club Eyelash Extensions is where you go if you’re bored with the same old black lashes. They have everything—pink, blue, purple, and more. They even have glitter and neon shade options.

Their anime lashes are as dramatic as they sound. A few friends who’ve tried them walked out with that confident, wide-eyed look that they’ve been dreaming of.

What I really appreciate about this shop is how personalized the service feels. Their lash artists discuss with you what kind of extensions and color would look best for your face. 

They don’t rush either. They even do a lash shampoo add-on that feels really luxurious. Plus, the lashes feel lightweight and not plasticky.

The lash extensions also shed naturally without any funk gaps because they use high-quality fibers and pay attention to your natural lashes.

However, I’m a bit turned off by their appointment policies. You have to book in advance, and you can’t bring anyone with you. 

The cancellation policy is also no joke. Miss your slot without proper notice, and you’re paying for it—literally.

If you want great lashes and prefer minimal chit-chat, Lash PDX is your kind of place. The setup is simple—just you and the lash artist in a clean, quiet room. 

Personally, I like the privacy and the one-on-one vibe. I didn’t have to worry about making small talk. 

The lash artists are very focused as well. They just check in about what you want and get right to work. The application itself is methodical—each extension is placed individually. 

The lashes I got done here held up beautifully, and the fills have been consistent every time.

One thing I haven’t seen elsewhere is their “lash emergency” service. If your lashes are falling out two days before a big event (or if you tried a DIY removal and failed), you can book a last-minute after-hours fix. 

Just a heads up: their cancellation policy sucks. If you don’t give them 48 hours’ notice and you miss your appointment, you still have to pay the full amount.

Lux Lash and Beauty Bar is where you go if you want to turn heads. 

The first thing that struck me was how, instead of jumping straight into the glue and tweezers, their lash artist sat down with me for a mini Q&A. She asked about my style, my daily routine, and most importantly—the current state of my lashes. 

I also love how customizable everything is. They build around your preferences using classic, hybrid, volume, and mega volume as bases.

I went with a simple, feather-light hybrid set and loved how the lash artist took their time to ensure the shape, length, and curl came out looking flawless. My lashes came out full and fluttery, without a hint of awkward clumping. 

I also find it reassuring how transparent they are to customers. Someone who came in wanting full-on Kim K lashes said the stylists took the time to explain how they could achieve that look in a way that won’t overload her natural lashes. 

The only downside is that it’s hard to get an appointment with them; I had to call two weeks in advance to secure one.

They offer all the essentials—classics, hybrids, volumes, lifts, and tints.

What sets this place apart, though, is how much they obsess over the health of your real lashes. They pull out a mirror to point out what your natural lashes can handle.

During my appointment, I love how they found a compromise that turns heads without leaving me bald-lidded in a month. 

One thing many genuinely appreciate (and I haven’t really seen elsewhere) is how they charge for the actual lashing time. 

Book a 60-minute slot? That’s a full hour of extensions going on, not half an hour of prep and then rushed application. 

As for their cancellation policy, it’s humane. Your first late cancel? No big deal—they’ll let it slide. After that, though, the fees kick in.
