Center For Specialty Surgery stood out to us because of its non-intimidating setting. It’s more of a dedicated outpatient surgical centre rather than a traditional hospital setting.

We think that for those who are first-time surgery patients, their clinic feels more comfortable compared to larger medical facilities.

Also, it’s worth noting that they offer same-day procedures, making them a good fit for patients who need urgent surgery. 

Another thing we like about this clinic is its modern facility. The waiting areas and procedure rooms are well-maintained and updated. This gives us reassurance knowing that they’re fully-equipped.

Scheduling also seemed more flexible due to their extended operating hours. A lot of patients said they had smooth appointments and shorter waiting times.

Service-wise? Their surgeons are experienced and efficient, especially for routine outpatient procedures. Many patients note that the whole team explained the procedures and recovery expectations well.

The main downside is that they’re not for complex surgeries, like colorectal or complicated hernia repairs.

One thing we like about Ashley Rivera is that she combines robotic surgery and personalised treatment planning with her general surgery services. 

This approach feels very patient-focused for us, which can be a big deal for those who are a bit anxious about surgeries.

Ashley brings in a comprehensive background in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures. Some of the surgeries she had using these methods include hernia repairs and other general surgery treatments.

Since she can do both, that means you can choose which approach or treatment you prefer to have. This is a big deal for those looking for smaller incisions and shorter recovery times.

Her certification and American College of Surgeons membership are another plus for us. This shows her credibility, strengthening her knowledge and commitment to general surgery.

Another thing worth mentioning is her experience in cancer-related surgery, which adds another value.

Just one thing to take note of is that she’s relatively newer compared to other well-established surgeons.

We found The Portland Clinic from a colleague who underwent an endoscopy here. Turns out, it’s a multi-specialty clinic with various general surgery services.  Since it’s a multi-specialty clinic, patients can access consultations, diagnostics, and surgical care under one roof.

When it comes to the services they provide, they handle lower-risk routine cases, like hernia surgery, hemorrhoid, and appendectomy, to name a few. 

Apart from that, we’re also glad that they’re experienced in breast surgery. It is actually one of their solid strengths, since not all clinics offer this service. 

The fact that they can also handle both benign and malignant conditions tells about their expertise in the field of surgery. This gives patients access to a wider range of surgical care under one clinic.

We also like that they have an in-house surgery centre. No wonder their appointment coordination and procedures are smooth since they go straight to it (no referrals needed).

Just a heads up, though, established presence also means they entertain a high patient volume.

Northwest Minimally Invasive Surgery is worth our attention because they specialise in advanced hernia repairs through robotic surgery and minimally invasive procedures.

We like their more focused and specialised service compared to other surgery clinics. They’re a great fit for those looking for a clinic with experience in minimally invasive surgery and a solution to complex hernias.

Their service is also consistent with lots of patients noting that there’s less post-operative discomfort and faster recovery times. 

Another thing we like is their shorter average wait times. Appointments and consultations are easier to schedule compared to larger clinics.

Plus, their multiple locations add convenience for those trying to locate a nearby clinic.

Speaking of the clinic, we appreciate how clean their centre is. The overall environment is comfortable, which honestly helps ease some of the pressure that comes with surgery preparation.

Negative thing about this clinic? It’s a smaller practice with no large hospital team to assist with highly complex cases.

The Oregon Clinic is just hard to miss because of its large and respected presence. It’s a huge medical centre with multiple general surgery subspecialists.

The fact that they have a strong surgery team means patients can rely on them regardless if it’s a routine procedure or more complex surgical needs. 

For some, a large clinic may be a bit of a downside because of a less personalised feel. But for us, we think it works in patients’ favour, especially if your condition needs various specialists.

Another clear edge of this clinic is its strong hospital affiliations. This gives us the reassurance that they have access to even larger medical teams and resources when needed.

They also don’t disappoint when it comes to their surgeons. Like other clinics, they also perform robotic surgery, which appeals to those who want a shorter recovery time.

The only hitch? Due to its large network, the experience can be inconsistent depending on the surgeon.
