That said, we see a little problem with the company’s extensive hardwood floor selection. 

Simple Floors work with many suppliers to provide the flooring you want, but working with several companies can result in scheduling issues and inconsistent performance.

Moreover, the company hires subcontractors for the installation, which may not sit well with clients who prefer the main service provider to be 100% accountable should there be problems. 

We recommend hiring Simple Floors if you’re comfortable with the hardwood flooring suppliers they work with.

That might be a hassle to some, and we recommend checking out more diverse companies if you prefer working with a single service provider.

Hiring The Floor Store can pose some disadvantages, though. Customer service can test one’s patience, especially when you’re waiting for your free estimates or response for aftersales requests.

The company is also busy compared to other flooring stores, so project schedules might be pushed back. If you’re on a tight deadline, shopping around will hopefully give you more options.

If you want to minimize your environmental impact but still prefer hardwood as your flooring, ECOFloors is a company you should consider.

The contractor works with suppliers that observe sustainable manufacturing of hardwood, such as Kahrs and Hallmark Floors. 

That said, expect that you can have eco-friendly options such as reclaimed and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified materials.

However, we would have loved it more had ECOFloors included an at-a-glance catalog of hardwood products on their website. We think the current setup of redirecting prospective clients to the manufacturer’s site can be confusing.

Also, ECOFloors would have to hire subcontractors now and then when they’re fully booked. While the company gets behind its subcontractors, some clients might find it a downside.
