These 5 Best Home Massage Services in Portland Deliver Relaxation at Your Doorstep

Quality of Service: I picked massage therapists who provide relaxing and stress-reducing massage sessions. I verified this by reading online reviews and talking to some of their clients. Expertise: I selected massage therapists who underwent several massage classes and certifications before entering the industry. They even study until now. Range of Services: I searched for mobile massage therapists who offer a wide range of in-home massage services, including prenatal massage, deep tissue massage, and much more. Service areas: I opted for mobile massage therapists who serve throughout the whole city.

After a week of juggling work deadlines, errands, and the never-ending to-do list, many of us crave a spa day. But the thought of fighting traffic, finding parking, and sitting in a crowded waiting room can make the idea less appealing.

That’s why many people in Portland are turning to home massage services. Instead of commuting across town, you can relax in your own space—pick the music you want, enjoy the calming aroma of a scented candle, and let a therapist bring the spa to you.

If you want that too but aren’t sure where to start, I’ve got you. I’ve had my fair share of home massage appointments, and these are the ones I always recommend to everyone craving relaxation.

How much does a home massage service cost in Portland?

A home massage service in Portland typically costs between $100 and $150, depending on the provider, type of massage, and duration.

One of Mindful Whisper’s advantages over competitors is that it operates seven days a week. What’s even better is that they work as early as 7 AM, giving me the choice to schedule an early session.

I also found their same-day service very convenient. I think they really made their service very accessible, allowing customers to have a one-call-away, reliable massage therapists all day.

When it comes to their home massage services, you have at least five choices. Some of their services include a full body scrub, a chair massage, and a 90-minute therapeutic massage.

I really appreciate their personalized approach to meet each client’s preferences. For example, their therapists use the lymphatic draining massage technique if the client prefers a gentle massage session.

The only drawback I noticed is that they have a comparatively pricey travel fee ($50). Some therapists charge way less for that.

Pros

  • Operates daily
  • Same-day and after-hours service
  • Serves throughout Portland
  • Offers 5 home massage services
  • Offers add-ons
  • Uses a wide range of modalities
  • Offers gift cards
  • Transparent pricing

Cons

  • Relatively expensive travel fee

I can’t recommend this mobile massage therapist enough

“I can’t recommend this mobile massage therapist enough! Their professionalism, punctuality, and calming presence immediately put me at ease. The setup was clean, relaxing, and thoughtfully done, turning our space into a peaceful spa. Every movement felt intentional, tailored to my needs, and incredibly healing. Asa listened closely to my concerns and provided relief where I needed it most. The convenience of having a high-quality massage in the comfort of my hotel room was unbeatable. If you’re looking for someone who is skilled, kind, and truly invested in your wellness, Asa is the massage therapist to call. Her energy was healing, soothing, and very much needed. Thank you Asa!!! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹✨”

I would definitely schedule another session with her

“Asa provided a much needed, very relaxing massage. Scheduling a session with her in my hotel room was fast and very straightforward. She brought her own massage table and set everything up. She asked about specific areas that I wanted to focus on during the massage and asked about what type of pressure I wanted. The massage was very relaxing, and she targeted my specific pain areas, which I really appreciated. After she was finished, I felt much more relaxed and a lot less pain. She even gave me some tips on self massage techniques that I could do at home to help. She was very friendly, very professional and created a relaxing atmosphere. When I’m in town again, I would definitely schedule another session with her.”

Susana, founder of Rest & Restore Massage Therapy, specializes in helping people recover from vehicle-related injuries through her services. What made her great at it is that she had car accidents twice, so she learned a lot of stuff from her past doctors.

The wide range of home massage services she offers is a huge plus. She can perform at least five types of in-home massages, including couples massage and back-to-back massage.

Additionally, it’s a green flag that she accepts Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) payments. If the session you’ll have is medically necessary or prescribed by a doctor, you can opt for this to save some money.

I also love that she accepts payments through Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) insurance. This helps her clients, who are mainly involved in auto accidents, ease their expenses (and their pain).

However, her services are relatively expensive compared to most therapists on this list. Fortunately, she accepts payment from special accounts and insurance.

Pros

  • Serves throughout Portland
  • Offers 5 home massage services
  • Great for people with mobility issues
  • Accepts FSA and HSA payments
  • Accepts MVA and PIP insurance
  • Transparent pricing

Cons

  • Unavailable on weekends
  • Relatively expensive

They were amazing

“I had Thera and Emily come to our house to do a couples massage for my Husband and I on our wedding anniversary. They were AMAZING! They showed up on time (even a little early to set up which I loved! ) they set up their equipment out on our deck where I wanted the massages. Took care of the massages and did an amazing job there too. I will definitely be having them come back regularly. Now it’s not just an anniversary excuse. 😁.”

I’m happy to recommend them

“I have been a regular customer of Susana’s for awhile now and she is someone I highly recommend. Rest & Restore is a perfect name as I leave each appointment feeling so rested and rejuvenated. What I especially appreciate about Susana is she takes the time to understand and know her clients. She is highly professional, very personable and is someone who takes what she does seriously along with pride. I am grateful to have found her as a massage therapist and will be a long term customer. It is not often I write recommendations but this is a rare expection and one I am happy to do.”

Cardinal Massage Therapy has been in the business for around a decade. Ever since, they have been consistently improving their skills, which has earned them loyal clients.

In fact, because they have many long-term clients, they’re the only therapists on this list that offer a membership plan. Some benefits include automatic monthly booking, a 10% discount, and a rollover option for a missed monthly session.

For their home massage services, they offer Swedish massage, a chair massage, and much more. In total, you can choose from at least five options, which are provided in many durations (60, 90, or 120 minutes).

However, what sets them apart is that they also sell body care products. They sell a wide range of body lotions made from goat milk and candles.

The only weak point in their operation is that they only work four days a week. The good thing is that weekends are included in those four days.

Pros

  • 8+ years in business
  • Serves throughout Portland
  • Offers 5 home massage services
  • Offers body care products
  • Provides a membership plan
  • Offers gift cards
  • Transparent pricing

Cons

  • Only operates 4 days a week

Cardinal put us back together

“Cardinal arrived at our place and turned our living room into a wonderful zen space. My partner and I both had injuries from painting and building projects around the house. Cardinal put us back together. I hadn’t had a massage for a year and a half, but now we are going to book monthly with Cardinal. Their work is so attentive and thorough. Relaxing yet still able to annihilate those problem knots. Cardinal also offers cupping. It couldn’t be easier to stick with your self care routine with all that they have to offer.”

-Karen Scherf, Google Review

What a game-changer

“Just had an in-home massage with Cardinal, and wow—what a game-changer. From the moment they walked in, the vibe was calm, grounded, and totally professional. Cardinal brought everything needed to make the space feel like a mini spa, and I instantly felt comfortable. The massage itself was incredible. You can tell Cardinal really knows their stuff—not just going through the motions, but actually tuning in to what my body needed. I’ve had a lot of massages over the years, and this was one of the best. I felt like a new person afterward—way more relaxed and a lot less tense. It’s such a luxury to not have to drive anywhere afterward. I just stayed in my cozy clothes and floated around my house for the rest of the evening. Highly recommend!”

For those seeking affordable yet quality in-home massage, I highly recommend Somatic Sense Massage. Compared to all massage therapists on this list, their services are more inexpensive. For example, their 45-minute reflexology only costs $77.

Aside from their affordable services, flexible scheduling options are also an advantage. They accept clients daily by appointment, from early morning until evening, allowing you to book at the time that suits you most.

Another highlight is the range of services they provide. They offer at least four kinds of home massage services, including reflexology. Other in-home services are deep tissue massage, Thai massage, and their signature Integral Fusion Somatic Sense Session.

However, what drove me to include them on this list is their skills. Their therapists know different approaches and massage techniques. They practice hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, and more. This allowed them to tend to clients with various physical needs.

That said, securing a session with them is quite difficult.

Pros

  • Serves throughout Portland
  • Offers 4 home massage services
  • Uses a wide range of modalities
  • Flexible scheduling options
  • Relatively inexpensive
  • Offers gift cards
  • Transparent pricing

Cons

  • Availability issues

Couldn’t recommend her more

“Rebekah is an incredible massage therapist—intuitive, strong, and highly skilled. She has a unique ability to find the critical pressure points that release stuck energy and melt away stubborn knots very quickly. As an active and athletic person – I’m pretty specific about bodywork. Her sessions leave me feeling lighter, restored, and deeply recharged. Couldn’t recommend her more!”

-Daniel Burwen, Google Review

Rebekah is an absolute gem

“Rebekah is an absolute gem! After finishing a long, physically intense flooring project, I reached out for some recovery—and what I received was honestly one of the most intuitive, effective, and soul-nourishing massages I’ve ever had. She traveled to my home and created a easeful environment where my body could deeeeeply exhale. Her touch is clearly informed not just by extensive training (Thai, Shiatsu, deep tissue & more), but by years of embodied practice. You can feel that she listens with her hands—tracking subtle patterns and bringing the whole system back into balance. Such a treat to receive! Not your everyday massage. After the massage I felt not just physically better, but more emotionally grounded and spiritually reset. Rebekah is my go-to bodyworker now, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone needing healing, restoration, or simply the medicine of being deeply seen and supported 🙏”

Samantha (Portland Mobile Massage owner) is skilled in using techniques that not just bring relaxation but also reduce stress and help clients gain emotional balance. This is beneficial for those who are very stressed at work and in life in general.

She offers at least two kinds of in-home massage services, which isn’t bad considering that she works alone. One of her services is therapeutic massage, while the other is prenatal massage (doctor’s prescription needed).

What’s great is that she offers enhancements (add-ons), which are available for a fixed price of $10 each. You can get one free add-on if you buy two during the session. Some enhancements she provides are aromatherapy, hot stones, and facial massage.

I also really appreciate that she charges only $10 for a travel fee, which is way cheaper than most therapists.

My only gripe is that she’s only available three times a week. The good thing is that she’s available on the days when most are free (Friday and weekends).

Pros

  • Serves throughout Portland
  • Offers 2 home massage services
  • Offers add-ons
  • Proficient in holistic treatment modalities
  • Relatively inexpensive travel fee
  • Offers gift cards
  • Transparent pricing

Cons

  • Limited availability

Sam is an excellent massage therapist

“I must say that Sam is an excellent massage therapist! She has a wonderfully welcoming presence, listens with care, and is able to adjust her approach based on her client’s need. I have had a relaxation massage from her, where i fell asleep a few times on the table, as well a focused deep tissue treatment, where she focused in on the areas i requested and was able to work out some old knots and long standing pains. She is very gifted and i highly recommend her services!”

-Aeon Excellion, Google Review

Incredibly relaxing experience

“First time getting an in home massage and it was way better than I expected. Massage therapist took 5 minutes to get their table set up, I filled out their very short 2 page waiver/agreement, then we chatted about areas I needed specific focus on before getting comfortable for a 60 minute session. Incredibly relaxing experience. I now have a regular appointment in the convenience of my own home.”
