We also really like their relational approach to homebuilding. They spend six months to a year or more with each of their clients.

The process starts with an introductory meeting. You discuss location, property size, architectural style, and overall budget. 

Many also appreciate that if you don’t have a realtor for your old home, they can connect you with top realtors. Others found it helpful they have relationships with construction loan specialists. 

We like that once the plans are complete, they help you handle the shopping and budgeting. People appreciate that the cost sheet actually reflects the actual cost to build without markup service fees. 

We like how this cost sheet is used as the basis for monthly construction draws, ensuring you only pay for completed items. 

Our only gripe about them is that during the construction process, they are slow to provide updates.

Timurland Construction has an impressive variety of floor plans. Every home we saw, from the Churchill with its five bedrooms and five bathrooms to the Palisade with four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, was luxurious. 

We think their clear floor plan images and virtual tours are a great way to get a feel for each home. 

Buyers love that they have a straightforward 5-step building process: consult, floor plan, selection, construction, and walk-through. 

Although it can be challenging to get on their schedule, once you do, things tend to run smoothly. Plus, they keep you updated with regular communication and photos during construction.

We love their flexibility. Whether you want to customize an existing design or bring your own ideas, Timurland is ready to accommodate. 

We also like that Timurland Construction does a thorough clean-up after the project and a final walk-through to address any concerns. Buyers like that they promise to resolve any deficiencies within 10 days.

One of the things we appreciate about Westward Builders is their focus on the pre-construction phase. We love that they give clients preliminary pricing to align their budget with your goal, helping many make informed decisions early on. 

During construction, their team of project managers and skilled craftsmen works together to bring your dream home to life. 

They also maintain clear communication, with many clients raving that they received constant updates. We think this shows that the team cares about the project progressing smoothly, on time, and to the highest standards. 

We also love that they focus on homes that give comfort and are energy-efficient. We loved looking through their finished products because of their sustainability, laminate woodwork, greenery, and skylights.

The only thing we aren’t too crazy about is the fact that they only work with you if you are within a 30-mile radius of them.

We love how focused they are during the consultation. They stay by the client’s side and help them plan every aspect of the project step-by-step. They also clarify all information to eliminate surprises and ensure they deliver exactly what the client wants.

In fact, several clients who want a home in Spanish villa style said Hamish did exactly what they wanted, from the arched doors to the chandelier lighting. 

We also like that their planning process is customizable, allowing you to design and develop plans for your new space. 

Plus, Harmish Murray Construction gives you the 411 on interior design and more. This is thanks to their partnerships and collaboration with trusted architects, designers, and trade partners. 

That said, they are a little hard to get a hold of for a consultation. Their schedule is usually packed.

At Pacific Lifestyle Homes, we love that every buyer gets to collaborate with their team of professional interior designers. 

Clients get to customize every room of their home. Many even noted that the possibilities for flooring, cabinetry, and other personalized touches seem endless. 

That can easily be overwhelming for those who don’t have design ideas, so we love that Pacific also provides a design team to guide the client through the entire process. They help select perfect finishes, colors, and layouts.

That’s also probably why the final houses look very impressive. When we explored their stage homes, we liked the quality of materials we saw, from the beautiful cherrywood flooring to the sustainable bamboo homes. 

We also appreciate that they have dedicated, private workspaces. Buyers like being able to see and feel the products they’re selecting, from the professional-grade appliances to the custom cabinetry and stylish plumbing fixtures.

Just take note that the initial meeting can run really long because they try to get as much information as possible. 

The home is high quality – they do not cut corners

“I used PLH (via Garrette Custom Homes) to build on my own land. They delivered an AMAZING home that was ON SCHEDULE!! In fact, the schedule was quicker than I had anticipated. Their processes are tight, the employees are all very professional and friendly and work very hard. The home is high quality – they do not cut corners. Oh and if you’re in the Portland OR area, don’t be afraid to use PLH – they manage their areas of Oregon very efficiently. My new home is even better than I imagined – they left the site super clean outside and the home was perfect inside. There are always little issues with the new homes when you move in, but with PLH there were very few issues (less than I’ve heard of with other builders) and the issues that they did have, they handled in a timely manner and with courtesy. I highly recommend them for building on your own land, or for their homes in neighborhoods.
