We were impressed with how convenient Vivint’s security systems are. You can manage up to 12 cameras in one security system. 

Plus, they have a Vivint app that lets customers control and monitor everything from a single platform. It keeps devices running smoothly together, making the system easier to manage even if you’re not tech-savvy. 

We also love how extensive Vivint’s lineup of devices is. They have different types of security cameras, sensors, and safety alarms. The variety makes it possible to create a system tailored to your specific needs, which several clients seem to appreciate. 

Their technologies aren’t just extensive too, they’re pretty innovative as well. For example, their cameras feature a smart deter technology that uses light and sound to scare away intruders.

However, Vivint’s ecosystem is somewhat closed. The system only integrates with Vivint devices, so you won’t have the flexibility you might get with companies that allow third-party products.

One of the things we love about First Response Security’s systems is their flexible wireless integration. You can control all their systems either through Bluetooth or the Amazon Alexa app, which makes the setup easy to manage. 

Their burglar alarm systems especially stood out for their reliability. The alarms come with perimeter and interior sensors, including door sensors, motion detectors, and glass break sensors. 

Clients shared that the system helped them detect suspicious activities quickly and accurately.

We were also impressed by their video surveillance systems. They use high-quality cameras and offer both traditional digital video recorder setups and modern IP-based cameras.

Their fire safety systems are very dependable too. What’s great about them is that they have advanced technology that goes beyond simply recognizing smoke. The system’s focus on early fire detection effectively prevents unpleasant incidents.

We just wish the technicians would be more punctual. Some clients told us that they were almost an hour late on the day of installation.

We found Nighthawk a solid choice for homeowners who already have security systems in place and want professional monitoring services. 

They can integrate existing systems into their monitoring center, which is especially helpful for homeowners who aren’t always at home. The best part is that their rates are pretty reasonable. 

We also appreciate how flexible their monitoring contracts are. They have a one to three-year monitoring contract with adaptable terms, which you can cancel at any time without any hassle.

In terms of systems, many clients found their video surveillance systems reliable and easy to use. The real-time video streaming with remote access worked smoothly, according to several clients we talked to.

We also found it convenient that you can monitor your home from practically any device—a laptop, a phone, or a computer.

Another feature we really like is their backup cellular and battery support. Clients shared that the backup devices are helpful when their phone lines are cut or when there’s no electricity.

The only drawback is that they have a limited range of devices compared to other suppliers on this list.

Safe & Sound’s fog security system is one of the more innovative solutions we’ve seen. When an intruder breaks in, the system releases a dense fog that can fill up a room in just minutes. It’s simple but effective. 

The 5-year warranty on parts and labor is also a huge plus. Knowing that the devices are protected for half a decade provides peace of mind to many homeowners. 

We also like the extensive range of devices they have. They have fire and carbon monoxide sensors, door and window sensors, and even pet-friendly motion detectors. 

On top of that, they provide flexible financing options. These options made it possible for many homeowners to install home protection systems without the burden of high upfront fees.

Just a heads up that there are sometimes delays in the installation. Some clients told us they waited weeks for installation.

We were genuinely impressed by Secure Pacific Corporation’s longevity. Having been providing protection to Portland homes since the 1980s, their long history gives us confidence in both their expertise and reliability. 

They’re the ideal supplier to contact if you want to get rid of your door locks and replace them with keyless entry systems. 

Additionally, we love their verified intrusion systems. By combining advanced intrusion detection technologies with video verification, they significantly reduce the incidence of false alarms.

We also love that they go beyond intruder protection. Their environmental monitoring systems feature sensors that track moisture, temperature, and air quality levels. This can give you early alerts about multiple conditions, such as leaks and high heat.

The only complaint we’ve heard from clients is that installation for complex systems sometimes runs almost a week late.
