J&C Lawn Care started as a small lawn mowing company servicing a limited service area, but they’ve since grown to cover all of Portland. That expansion alone makes their reliable service a lot more accessible to local property owners.

What we really like about J&C is the range of services they offer. Beyond basic lawn care, they also handle landscaping, seasonal cleanups, and weed control. They even handle sod installation and core aeration.

Most of their recent projects also involve tackling bigger jobs, like clearing overgrown grass, yard debris, and stubborn blackberry bushes.

For us, having all these services under one roof is already very convenient.

The quality of service is also really good. Previous clients told us the J&C’s team was very efficient and friendly. One said the team was able to clear their lawn in just 2 hours and even offered to trim some plants nearby—all at a good price.

That said, they can be really slow to respond, especially on quotations. A client said that he waited for 4 hours and ended up with no call back at all.

Earthborn Landscape Services is a solid choice if you’re looking for a professional irrigation and landscape company in Portland. They’ve been around since 2019, and have established a pretty reliable reputation among property owners.

Their range of lawn maintenance services is extensive. They cater to mowing and edging, weed control, and hauling debris. If you need a sod installed, they can do that too.

What we also like is that they offer bi-weekly maintenance packages. We found that option convenient and fairly priced, though some people did tell us they wish the company would also offer weekly packages.

We also like their invoicing system. They’ll send it to you via email, and you can pay directly through the link. It’s very convenient, especially for busy people who don’t want to deal with paper bills or phone calls.

In terms of pricing, their bi-weekly packages range $199 to $399 per month, depending on the size of your lawn. We find the rates reasonable for a reputable company with dependable service.

However, we heard some complaints about the company’s car drivers throwing out cigarette butts on the road. It’s not service-related, but definitely something they should tighten up. They shouldn’t only be keeping lawns clean, but also the roads.

Prestige Landscape & Tree Service has been around for 14 years, and being locally owned and operated in Portland gives them that extra credibility. 

Aside from Portland, they also service Vancouver, Oregon, and Washington. This just shows how committed they are to reaching a wide range of homeowners.

When it comes to lawn maintenance, their focus is on services like weeding, plant removal, and clean-ups. From what we’ve noticed, they’re more focused on maintaining a lawn that already has landscaping.

If all you need is basic mowing, their services might feel a bit more than what you actually need. 

When we talked to clients, many praised the team for helping them redo their yard and turn it into something easier to maintain. They also highlighted the team’s strong communication and consistent quality.

The downside? They’re not the best if you need immediate help. A few clients mentioned long wait times, so we would really count on them for emergency landscaping needs.

Blessing Landscapes is another reputable company with decades of experience in the lawn care industry. They have a great selection of services spanning from landscaping to lawn and garden maintenance.

We really appreciate that they offer residential and commercial lawn and landscape maintenance. So if you have a residential lawn and a business landscape, you can just call one company to do the maintenance for you. Hassle-free, right?

Their clients are also satisfied with their lawn care service. A customer said that the quality of work is superior and that the team did great on the landscaping and irrigation of their yard.

Another client also thanked the team for considering some of their unusual requests about their lawn and for patiently answering their questions. They said that they’ll continue working with Blessing Landscapes for their maintenance.

However, some clients reported that a few of the team’s members arrived late on the day of the scheduled service. For us, it’s frustrating, especially if you have other errands to do.

Clean Air Lawn Care Portland West stood out for its use of organic treatments. They also promote sustainability, and it’s one of their main strengths that we saw.

For their lawn maintenance, they use zero-emission mowing. They do that by using an electric lawn mowing service, ideal if you want quiet work and don’t want to disturb your neighbours.

Many of their clients loved that they didn’t have to deal with exhaust fumes and the deafening engine noise of lawn mowers.

If you also have pets and children, you’ll also like their natural weed control. They specifically use Moose Juice, their bio-based weed control product. This is a plus for us since not all companies use sustainable and eco-friendly products.

Clients also commend their crew members for being friendly and respectful throughout the process. They also said that the team has great communication and is responsive to individual needs.

However, we think that pricing is something you need to anticipate. Since they offer quieter work, use electrical mowers, and have their own products, they might be expensive.
