When we came to visit, we found their inventory pretty diverse. They offer a range of diamonds and gemstones in all kinds of cuts—emerald, princess, and Asscher. Whether you’re looking for something classic or a bit more unique, they’ve got you covered. 

One of the coolest things about Marx is their focus on custom jewelry. They let you create personalized pieces that really tell your story, whether it’s an engagement ring or a wedding band. 

Plus, they use modern tech to create realistic designs, so you can see what your piece will look like before it’s made.

However, a customer we interviewed highlighted issues with pricing transparency. He was charged more than initially quoted upon pickup without prior notification.

We joined Malka Diamonds’ jewelry workshop and it was an awesome experience. We customized pieces to match our style perfectly and even got to collaborate with talented artisans to create something truly unique.

Along with custom designs, they also have a vintage pieces selection that have been restored and are ready to wear. It’s a nice mix of new and vintage styles for everyone to choose from.

They also offer something fun like permanent jewelry, where they laser-weld chains right onto your wrist or ankle, so there’s no clasp. It’s a trendy option, perfect for unique gifts or special friendship tokens! 

Plus, all the diamonds are GIA-certified! This means they undergo a rigorous grading process by the Gemological Institute of America so you know you’re getting quality.

A few customers, though, did feel a bit in the dark about the timeline for their other custom pieces. Even though the craftsmanship is amazing, the lack of communication about when they could expect their pieces left them a little frustrated. 

Definitely recommend them, and we’ll be back for any other jewelry needs

We browsed into their selection and they have a wide range of options with styles that cater to every taste—whether you’re into modern looks or something unique like solitaire or halo settings. 

Plus, they have a range of stock pieces from world-class designers! These pieces really caught our eyes because of how stunning they were.

On the flip side, some customers have mentioned issues with delivery times. One person was frustrated when their custom piece took longer than promised.

This can be a huge drawback when you’re on a tight schedule for an important event.

Medallion Jewelers boasts an impressive inventory. They feature one of the largest selections of jewelry in Oregon, from engagement rings and wedding bands to earrings and beyond. 

We found the store perfect for gifts because it also has collectables, silverware, and watch services.

When we were looking into their selection, we didn’t really feel pressured to buy something. Instead, the staff was focused on introducing us to the pieces we were interested in.

It was also easy to stop by since their shop is located downtown. Even finding a good parking spot nearby wasn’t that hard. 

While their jewelry selection often receives positive feedback, their repair services do not share the same reputation. One customer reported feeling ignored after making multiple inquiries about a piece that needed repair, noting that the staff did not accommodate her concerns.

Betsy & Iya really stood out to our team because they offer such unique, handcrafted jewelry designed by Betsy Cross and her talented crew. 

We even got to collaborate on a piece with them and saw the whole process—from sketch to final product. It really showcased their amazing craftsmanship.

What’s even cooler is that they operate with strong ethics. When we asked about their materials during the sketch, they shared that they use recycled metals and source conflict-free gems. This ensures their pieces not only look great but also have a responsible background.

Plus, they have this awesome buy-back program called RECAST. The program allows you to return old jewelry to be refurbished and resold, promoting sustainability.

Just a heads up—if you’re looking to place a custom order, turnaround times can sometimes be longer than expected. The usual time is about three to four weeks, but delays can happen. Keep this in mind if you’re on a tight timeline for something special like a wedding or anniversary.
