You Dirty Dog started over 10 years ago with just one van in Las Vegas, NV. Now they operate nine vans to accommodate more clients in several different areas. 

This includes Portland, Gresham, West Linn Clackamas, Happy Valley, and more. 

We found it quite easy to book an appointment with them. All you have to do is send them a text with your availability, the breed of your dog, and your zip code. 

They will then reply with the price, their schedules, and other details you might need. 

When we had a chat with a number of their previous clients, some of them commented on the pricing. 

If you’ve only ever gone to groomers with brick-and-mortar facilities, it may seem expensive. However, it’s actually par for the course that a mobile grooming service costs more than those. 

On the whole, we actually think their rates are very reasonable because of the quality of their grooming and the service their groomers provide. 

Added to this, previous clients whose dogs are nervous or have past trauma said that the groomers were able to calm them down. 

We think this is an important skill to have because grooming can stress some dogs out. We’re glad that’s not the case with You Dirty Dog. 

We also heard several comments about the cleanliness of the van. We strongly agree with this one – during our test session, it was quite obvious that their van was well-maintained and it smelled so good! 

However, we also heard some negative comments from other customers that sometimes, they’re not responsive. There would be times when no one answered messages. 

We think this is an area they could improve on. Still, it’s worth noting that most customers didn’t have the same experience.

Overall, we were satisfied with our own experience with You Dirty Dog. We loved how easy it was to talk with the groomers because they were knowledgeable and experienced. 

One of the reasons we added Serenity Mobile Grooming Spa to our list of top mobile dog grooming in Portland is their responsiveness.

When we reached out to some of their past clients to sit down and talk to them, quite a lot of them raved about Serenity’s response time. Because of this and other points, most of them said they booked another appointment before even leaving their first. 

This surprised us, so it made us want to investigate further. 

First off, Serenity Mobile Grooming Spa offers two packages which are Basic and Premium.

Basic includes hydro massage bath, nail trimming and filing, hair trimming, ear cleaning, oral care, and more. 

As for the Premium full groom package, everything in the Basic package is included plus a full haircut and styling which depends on the breed, of course. 

When we tried out Serenity, we couldn’t help but agree with what the clients had to say about Serenity’s response time. 

We’d also like to add that we were impressed with how thorough they are with their grooming. 

We also noticed that they took the time to make everything perfect, which we greatly appreciated. 

The other positive comment customers have for Serenity is that they’re quite punctual. They arrive and end at the same time. 

Moreover, we were also able to note that a lot of customers said their dogs seem to be more relaxed with this grooming service compared to the ones they’ve tried. 

We thought it was important to note because it’s hard to find one where your pup doesn’t appear as calm. 

However, we think their business hours could be a cause for the inconvenience for some because they’re only open on the weekends. 

If your only free dates are on Saturdays and Sundays, they are, unfortunately, not the best option. 

Here, the grooming services start at $105, while their bath service starts at $95. They also have a $7 flat travel fee.

The final price depends on the size and coat of your dog. Fortunately, the pricing per dog breed is already stated on their website. 

We think it’s worth noting that all their staff also have a fur baby of their own. This made us feel more assured because the groomers also have an idea of how much we want everything to run smoothly!

When we went out to talk to their previous clients, a lot of them mentioned how patient the groomers are. 

We thought this was worth writing down because a lot of pets have a hard time staying still while being groomed. 

Fortunately, not only do they have the facilities to deal with this, but the groomers are also patient and knowledgeable when it comes to these things. 

A lot of the clients whose pets have fur matting also added that the groomers were able to easily get rid of it. 

So if your pet has this problem, it seems that Ruff Roads Mobile Grooming is especially worth checking out. 

There was also some negative feedback, however. It seems that they’re not that responsive over the phone because it’s best to reach them on their website. 

However, they do call when they’re on their way to your place or if they happen to be running late – which is a rare occasion from what we’ve heard. 

There were also some negative reviews about the owner, saying they were rude, but we didn’t have this experience. Nevertheless, we think that Ruff Roads Mobile Grooming truly earned their right to a spot on the list of top mobile dog grooming services in Portland. 

Summer, the person behind Glory Days Mobile Dog Bathing, has worked in kennel and boarding, training, bathing, and grooming for over 7 years. She turned an old work truck into a mobile grooming salon in 2021 and that’s how Glory Days was born. 

We always love being up-to-date when it comes to up-and-coming businesses because we think they’re worth the recognition. Because of this and all the recommendations we got for her, we decided to check Glory Days out. 

We found it quite easy to send her a message. For a quote, you can just message the contact number. 

For a faster process, it’s best to send a photo of your dog, its weight, and your location. You will then receive the pricing as well as other details you might need. 

Glory Days provides full-service bathing, full-service grooming, nail trimming, and anal gland expression. 

Their full-service bathing includes nail trimming, hypoallergenic shampoo wash, conditioner blowout, and more. Full-service grooming has the same inclusions plus a full shave or trimming depending on the dog breed. 

When we reached out to their previous clients, most of them commented on the grooming itself. 

They mentioned the softness of their dogs’ fur, which lasted for weeks! We were surprised because a lot of people highlighted this. 

So it was expected that when we went to Summer, we experienced the same thing. It must be the combination of her skills and the tools she uses. 

In our experience, the softness of our pet’s fur usually only lasts a day or two so this was one of the things that left a lasting impression. 

There were also a few clients who mentioned that they were able to gain the trust of their dogs quite easily. This is where we see Summer’s skills quite well. 

The only drawback we could think of is that this grooming service is quite new. There’s always something to be said for experience, after all.

Metro Mobile Groomers has been providing grooming needs to dog and cat owners in Portland since 2008. They have several available services for quite a reasonable price. 

They offer a 15-step signature groom which includes cleaning of eyes, clipping of nails, sanitary clip, shampoo, conditioning rinse, blow dry, paw pad trip, and more.

There are also additional services like puppy cuts, lion cuts, Japanese infusion styles, flea and tick shampoo treatment, toothbrushing, etc. 

Some services are specifically made for spoiling your fur babies such as medicated soothing shampoo, dead sea salt mud mask, aloe conditioning, and remoisturizing, and so on. 

We noticed that their past clients love going back to them because of two main reasons: the booking process is easy and the groomers are punctual. 

When we tried out Metro Mobile Groomers for ourselves, we couldn’t help but agree. You just need to text or email them for a fast response. 

You may call them too but it might take a bit longer for them to get back to you through that contact channel, for whatever reason. 

Metro Mobile Groomers’ clients also mentioned that the groomers are also quite skilled when it comes to working with nervous pets. 

A few of them also mentioned that the groomers were also quite attentive when it comes to their pet’s health. 

An example of this is pointing out a pet’s health concerns that were both known and undiscovered by the owners. 

Anyway, it’s not quite a cause for concern, but they don’t, unfortunately, service big senior dogs. This might be because they’re not well-equipped to handle this situation. 

So if you have a big senior dog, Metro Mobile Groomers is not the best option. 

However, if you have a young or an adult pup with you, we don’t see why you can’t try them out.
