Pros
- Safe and accessible location
- Spacious bike room in parking
- Wide range of available office spaces
- Negotiable rates on all layouts
- Over 95 years of experience
- On-site management and maintenance offices
Cons
- Relatively fewer amenities for work and entertainment
Pacific Building is a good choice if you want traditional office space with all the amenities you need. Plus, the neighborhood is nice which is always something that we consider, particularly in terms of safety and security.
The conference room is big enough for a mid-size meeting, but it can seat over 20 people, making it flexible for larger set-ups as well. It does come with its own mini kitchen and smart TV which isn’t much but sufficient for our taste.
Apart from being next to Pioneer Square, the building does have interesting features and amenities. For instance, we do love their roof terrace which makes up for a great outdoor setting for a short brunch or casual dinner.
The parking, fortunately, has a bike room, taking away the hassle of finding safe parking spaces. On top of that, there’s also a shower room in the building, so renters can basically do quick workouts during breaks and freshen up in the next hour.
The availability is pretty decent although most of them have large layouts and therefore, cost more. On the bright side, prices are actually negotiable which is at least better than being met with excessively high rates.
The company running the building has been in the industry for over 95 years so we reckon they already know what they’re doing. That also explains why they have a nice team of on-site management and maintenance staff.

Pros
- Office spaces accommodate a group of 1 to 12 workers
- Fully furnished office spaces
- Professional grade-cleaning
- Convenient and beneficial amenities
- Dedicated community manager
- Competitive pricing system
Cons
- Minor issue with the office space’s privacy
Industrious Pioneer Square’s location in Portland is very practical if you’re looking for convenient office space in the area. Although it only caters to a group of 1 to 12 workers, they do have what it takes to support a steady workday.
For instance, they are fully furnished with everything you need to work on your projects: desks, chairs, and the like of it – plus it’s quite spacious. And as an additional point, we find it surprising that they’re dog-friendly too.
We understand how important it is for you to work in a comfortable space, and that’s why this company does this professional-grade cleaning. This, for us, is a great plus point since the working environment bounces off on the tenants’ work.
One thing we’ve heard that frustrated a few of their clients is the fact that the office literally has glass walls. And since the wall is transparent, anyone walking by can see what you’re doing, thus making it less private.
On the other hand, their amenities are very beneficial for their working occupants. Moreover, besides the office supplies they provide, you can also enjoy their fast and secure wifi and unlimited color printing.
When it comes to their rental rates, it’s definitely not cheap, but it’s what we honestly expected. For your information, the price starts at $671 per month (and that’s for small groups alone) so you can literally anticipate higher pricing if your team is much bigger.

Pros
- Has three locations in Portland
- Units are utilized through a security card controlled access system
- Diverse professional office layouts
- Specific spaces engineered for loud activities
- Dog-friendly
- Competitive pricing system
Cons
- Few issues with the size of their units
- No free-wifi
What’s great about ActivSpace is the fact that Portland-area people can enjoy their private spaces since they have 3 locations in that area. And the fact that they have been there for over 15 years really shows their established reputation.
Although their locations are in prime neighborhoods, they still pay attention to their tenants’ safety and security. To make sure of that, they utilize a security card-controlled access system, plus each of their units has its own unique lock, so they are really good in terms of privacy.
To give you an idea of what they can offer, their current tenants include local artists, entrepreneurs, and independent creators of arts and products. This shows that their property manager can deliver the diverse professional spaces clients look for.
The only problem we’ve learned (from their clients) is that the place isn’t that big to accommodate large groups of workmates. However, they still find their units reasonably spacious to cater to each of their own needs.
It’s also worth mentioning that they have specific spaces engineered for loud activities, which are good for playing instruments or singing. It’s just that it’s only available at a limited capacity and at selected locations.
Finally, the pricing system is pretty competitive, at least that’s what we’ve heard from their occupants. You just have to bear in mind that they don’t accept cash for payments, so you might wanna pay through credit cards, bank checks, etc.

Pros
- Wide selection of office space options
- Provides fully-furnished private spaces
- Offers ready-to-use office space (day offices)
- Offers office membership that includes access to all of their amenities
- On hand on-site support team
- Office spaces are available for flexible terms
Cons
- Minor issues with their security team
- Small reports including suspension of services without prior notice
For Regus – Oregon, Portland – Liberty Centre it’s important to provide their clients with a wide selection of each of their own services. That’s why for your office space needs, they have a number of different options to choose from.
In line with this, you can either get their serviced offices or the custom offices – both private office spaces, by the way, that just differ with the features. These two options, in our opinion, would be great for you if you only intend to rent for a couple of days.
However, office membership (with unlimited access to all of their amenities) would be suited for you if you plan to occupy office space for unlimited days a month. But, always remember that this will cost you hundreds to thousands of dollars, which is just fair.
Now, we know for a fact there comes a time when you are in need of a private space for just as little as a day, say an hour or two for a meeting. With Regus, you can rent their ready-to-use office space at a reasonable rate, which we like.
Unfortunately, even for a fascinating business like Regus, there will always be some negative feedback. Clients claim (on the reviews) that they happened to experience suspension of their services without prior notice, which is quite worrying.
There are also some poor reviews regarding the kind of service their security team provides their tenants, and it’s something that certainly disappoints us. But so far, we do think their offerings are enough for day-to-day working.

Pros
- Comprehensive membership model
- 24/7 access to all of their amenities for all members
- Convenient location (downtown, surrounded by stores and restaurants)
- Competitive pricing system (operates in a monthly rate)
Cons
- Limited amount of office spaces available
We’re aware that there are many office space options in Portland, all offering various twists on sharing space. But, what we think sets Collective Agency apart from the rest is their commitment to their clients.
First things first, they have been innovating this kind of business in the area since 2011. Throughout the said years, although not that long, we find it surprising that they managed to gain local awards and media traction.
Now, talking about their services to their occupants, we find their membership model and work democracy very convenient. There, you can enjoy different levels of access to their amenities at different rates as well (regular membership & full-time membership).
For their shared office spaces, it’s pretty basic actually, at least in our opinion. It’s simply because you can enjoy the usual things they come with: office supplies, desks, chairs, access to printers, and free wifi – all at competitive pricing.
What’s more interesting is their downtown location, which is convenient in the way that it is surrounded by stores and restaurants. While their interior vibes are functional and comfortable, it makes you feel at home somehow.
The only downside that we noticed is their limited amount of office spaces available. However, once you’ve gone full-time membership with them, your reserved space is automatically secured and can’t be out of your service, unless you don’t meet the standard membership requirements.

Pros
- Full service coworking space and community
- Different types of spaces available
- Various plans
Cons
- Operating hours unavailable
- Amenities not mentioned on website
Urban Office is SouthWest Portland’s coworking space and a place that can be one’s office away from home.
They rents desks and office spaces that can help increase the productivity of anyone who goes there.
We like how this full service coworking space & community offers flexible office space solutions for professionals in the area.
We think this place can be a great home base for businesses, big or small. And anyone can be part of a larger community of creative and inspiring professionals.
They offer three different types of spaces: Private Offices, Dedicated Desks, and Coworking.
This way, no matter your needs, we think there’s an option that will best suit you.
They have different plans good for a month, again depending on what you need. But if you just need day passes or passes for a certain number of days, they have those as options as well.
Compared to other coworking spaces, they didn’t list down all their amenities on their website so you’d have to get in touch with them to know what these are.
All in all, we highly recommend!
