  • Excellent client service
  • Easy booking through their online scheduler

  • Limited warranty terms for commercial repairs
  • Actual time for repair can take a while

Mr. Appliance introduces itself as your neighborly company, and rightly so. They remind us of that one neighbor who’s got all the tools and is just ready to fix anything.

Over the years they’ve successfully built a reputation for expert and quality repair services.

In fact, many clients say they show up on time and quickly and accurately determine the issues in their washer, dryers, and other appliances.

We love that they’re able to not only assess but also explain to clients the problems at hand, as well as the solutions they offer.

We think that this shows how knowledgeable and skilled they are in terms of washing machine repair.

We also love that they’re flexible with their time. In fact, customers can book their appointments easily through Service on Your Schedule, their online scheduler.

We think it’s convenient, fast, and orderly.

We also love that they cover their workmanship with a warranty. They offer a one-year parts and labor warranty for residential services and a 30-day one for commercial services.

This makes them a great investment for homeowners who’ve been stressing over their broken washers. The warranty term for commercial clients is a little too short, so keep this in mind if you’re looking to repair your washers at your business.

A few clients also point out that their service fee tends to be expensive. They charge by the job, not by the hour.

The rate will also depend on the repair required and the parts that need to be replaced. It’s best to research ahead and estimate the cost for the repair.

  • A decade worth of experience
  • Offers same-day services

  • Service fee is expensive

Established in 2010, All Tech has a decade worth of repair experience to back its quality service.

They’ve worked on top-load washers, front-load washers, and stackable washers and dryers.

They also have experience working on most major washing machine brands including LG, Samsung, and Whirlpool.

This tells us the range of their experience, and we think it helps the clients feel assured about leaving their washers in capable hands.

We also love that they’ve listed down the common problems of washing machines on their website such as when the washer won’t turn on, when it’s making too much noise, or when the knobs simply fell off.

We think it helps the clients decide when to start calling for washer repair men.

Client service with them is also fantastic!

We love that they’re quick to respond. In fact, they can schedule same-day services, which work well for clients who need urgent washer repairs.

We also appreciate the honesty when they tell their clients it’s more practical for them to get a new washer rather than have their old ones repaired.

We have to warn you though that scheduling with them through email yields a slow response. It’s best to schedule with them through call instead.

A few clients also note their service fee is pricier. Still, many agree that the pay is worth the quality of service they get.

They also guarantee all their repairs for 30 up to 90 days.

  • Offers dryer vent cleaning services
  • Clients can avail of their same-day repair services
  • Also sells washing machine parts

  • Expensive service rates

If you’re looking for a one-stop-shop experience, J.R. Appliance has all the repair services you’ll need.

They offer washer and dryer repairs, including dryer vent cleaning. With the latter service, clients can expect their washers to work more safely and efficiently.

They’ve also worked on several major washing machine brands including GE, Kenmore, and Maytag.

Same-day repair services can also be availed of by clients who are stuck in their hectic schedules.

On top of these services, they also sell washing machine parts so clients who will need to replace some parts in their washers don’t need to look elsewhere to purchase them.

You can also have these parts shipped directly to your homes if you’re doing more of a DIY repair.

Clients also love them for their open and active communication.

Many clients appreciate that they take the time to clearly and completely explain the problems that have been causing their washers to malfunction. We think this is important for clients to learn how to prevent the same problem from happening again.

Both their workmanship and the parts they sell are covered by a warranty. They offer a 90 up to 120-day warranty on their labor and a one-year warranty on the parts.

They’re presently offering a 15% discount on all their repair services, but the offer is exclusive to their returning customers only.

However, issues with overcharging are quite frequent with them.

A few clients also say they’re not thorough enough when diagnosing the issues in their appliances. One client was charged an additional $45 maintenance fee when their technician barely inspected her appliance.

  • They sell washing machine parts too

  • Minor issues with quality of work
  • Issues with their client service

This family-owned and operated repair shop has been in the business since 1982, and over the years, they’ve developed a full repair service for the Portland locals.

This years-long experience is shown in how quickly they spot the issues in their clients’ appliances. And they fix them just as quickly too.

We love that they’re upfront about their pricing. In the Portland area, their service fee starts at $100.

For those outside the city, the service starts at $120 and can go up to $150 depending on the city and the zip code. They also charge an additional fee for any follow-up service.

In any case, their flat fee already covers diagnosing your appliances.

Should you need to replace parts for your washer, they also sell brand new and used appliance parts, so those who are on a budget have flexible options too.

They offer parts from some of the major brands including Amana, Frigidaire, and Whirlpool.

We also appreciate that both their labor and parts are covered by a 90-day warranty.

Client service is, however, inconsistent.

A few customers found their staff to be rude and unprofessional.

There have also been issues with the quality of work. A few customers have expressed regret not buying new appliances shortly after they’ve had their old ones repaired by Spencers.

  • Quality repair services
  • Affordable pricing
  • Excellent client service

  • Limited warranty terms
  • Always fully booked

If you think quality service and affordable prices can’t go together, we found the repair shop that might just prove you wrong.

We love that Appliance Guys is known for their professionalism and attention to detail.

Clients say they work efficiently and quickly. This can easily be attributed to the level of preparation they do before coming to their clients’ houses and repairing their appliances.

For example, one client was impressed that the owner himself had already researched info about her appliance, brought with him all the tools he needed, and just dove right into work as soon as he arrived. As a result, the repair was done in 30 minutes.

All the rest of their technicians are loved for being clear and friendly in explaining the problem and in suggesting cost-efficient solutions.

We also love that they offer their services at an affordable price.

Their service call for appliance repairs is pegged at $99. They also charge their labor per 15 minutes at $39.

This is still cheaper than the fixed price of $100 imposed by other repair shops. And they work pretty fast too.

They also offer after-hours emergency services for an additional charge.

We also appreciate that they provide a guarantee for both the parts they use and their services.

The parts are guaranteed for 90 days and the services for 60 days. This term might be more limited compared to the one-year warranties offered by other repair shops.

They’re almost always fully booked too, so it can get stressful setting appointments with them. If you need that washer repaired as soon as possible, you might want to consider other options.
