I recently had the chance to work with Old Town Florist in Portland for a friend’s wedding, and I have to say, they really live up to the hype! 

We had a pretty specific vision for the wedding flowers, and Wendy and her team nailed it. She used a gorgeous mix of local Northwest blooms and some imported flowers that brought a unique freshness to the arrangements. 

The bouquets were stunning, and the centerpieces were exactly what we had envisioned. It was like they took our ideas and turned them into floral works of art.

One thing that really stood out was their attention to detail. They spent time getting to know what we wanted, and it showed in every arrangement. 

They also offer a wide range of services, from small bouquets to large installations. The versatility is just impressive. 

There were a few moments when response to our queries were sent late. But honestly, it was a minor hiccup in an otherwise fantastic experience.

When my sister tied the knot, Ribbon and Twine Floral did an amazing job handling the flowers! From the moment we walked into their studio, we were struck by how personal and engaging the whole process was. 

Carolyn and her team are all about making each arrangement unique, tailored to the couple’s vision. It wasn’t just about picking flowers; it was about crafting a bespoke experience that really captured the essence of a wedding.

One thing that really impressed me was their commitment to quality. The flowers were incredibly fresh, sourced from both local growers and international suppliers. 

We went with a premium package, and it was worth every penny. Even the standard arrangements starting at $125 looked luxurious and elegant.

That said, we did run into a timing issue. Their flowers arrived later than planned, which threw off the couple’s schedule a bit.

Botanica Floral Design is one of the most popular wedding florists in Portland. And from how they performed at a recent wedding I attended, it’s easy to see why.

The bride told me that from the initial consultation, the team had an amazing way of taking their vague ideas and turning them into something magical. The whole process was a blend of creativity and genuine care. 

They appreciated how all the designs were about organic, lush, and romantic vibes. The team worked closely with the bride and groom to capture their vision perfectly. 

However, it’s worth mentioning that not everyone has had a seamless experience. I came across a review where a potential client had a less favorable interaction. 

They had a consultation, and although the initial meeting went well, they were disappointed when the follow-up quote was higher than expected. After requesting revisions, they never heard back, which led them to believe Botanica wasn’t interested in working with them. 

Despite this, one of the best aspects of Botanica is its commitment to inclusivity as an LGBTQ+-owned business. It’s refreshing to see a florist who not only delivers beautiful work but also aligns with values that matter to many couples.

“Botanica provided centerpieces for our rehearsal luncheon as well as the bouquets and boutonnieres for our wedding. Everything was gorgeous. I would highly recommend Josef and his team. We asked for no white and for bright warm colors and they did an amazing job. For the bouquets, I sent a small mood board and a few specific requests; they sent back a proposal, I asked for a few small changes which they accepted, and then the flowers showed up on time and were perfect! Communication was easy and prompt. My mother-in-law picked up the rehearsal centerpieces and they were packed really well and were very easy to transport ourselves to multiple places over the weekend. We found Botanica on a friend’s recommendation and will be recommending them to others.”

For my wedding, I had the pleasure of working with Flowers Tommy Luke, and let me tell you, it was an experience worth sharing! 

First off, the personalized service was incredible. We had a free consultation where we could chat about our vision, and they were so attentive to our ideas and preferences. 

We were able to customize everything to match our color scheme and budget, and it was clear they genuinely cared about making our day perfect. 

The range of services they offer is impressive. We went with their bridal bouquets, centerpieces, and flower crowns. They also handled our chuppah decor and boutonnieres. The best part? They took care of the setup and cleanup, which was a lifesaver on the big day.

What really stood out to me was their focus on quality. Our roses, in particular, were just gorgeous and exactly what we hoped for. The whole setup added such a romantic touch to the venue.

However, there was a delay with the delivery that was a bit stressful. While the flowers themselves were fantastic, it would have been even better if they had arrived on time for our big day.

I recently had the chance to experience Sellwood Flower Company for a friend’s wedding. And wow, walking into the venue was just like stepping into a floral wonderland. 

The floral arrangements here are seriously top-notch. I was blown away by how their garden-style designs added such a unique and personal feel to the wedding. The bride’s bouquet was full of lush, seasonal blooms that perfectly matched the overall theme.

The staff at Sellwood Flower Company are another highlight. They’re super friendly and genuinely seem to care about bringing your vision to life. 

My friend’s florist, Kailla, was amazing. She immediately grasped the bride’s color palette and style, which led to some truly stunning arrangements.

And get this, when a last-minute hiccup came up with the cake flowers, the team didn’t hesitate to deliver them straight to the bakery. Talk about going above and beyond!

The selection here is impressive, too. From beautiful bridal bouquets to custom floral crowns and boutonnieres, they’ve got you covered. 

One thing to note, though, is that their customer service can be a bit hit or miss. While my friend had a great experience, another friend had some delays and wasn’t thrilled with the flower quality.
