Top 5 Motorcycle Dealers in Portland

Top 5 Motorcycle Dealers in Portland

How We Picked

Types of motorcycles available

We picked companies that offer a good range of motorcycle types, a wide variety of brands and models, and high availability of additional accessories and parts.

Years in business

We only trust dealers that have been in the business for at least 3 years.

Attitude

We looked into the quality of customer care based on the attitude of the staff. Honesty and knowledge level are two of the major things we evaluated.

Pricing and financing

We chose dealers that offer transparent pricing (with competitive rates) as well as financing options for buyers.

Pros

  • Over 50 years in the motorcycle industry
  • Offers brand new and pre-owned motorcycles
  • Sells popular industry brands
  • Parts and accessories available
  • Financing options available
  • Friendly staff

Cons

  • Pre-owned motorcycles are quite pricey

One of the go-to motorcycle dealers in the Portland metro area is Bob Lanphere’s Beaverton Motorcycles. In fact, the shop has been a driving force in the local motorcycle industry for nearly 50 years – quite impressive, right?

As a full-service motorcycle shop, we believe they’ll meet your standards as a client. We say this with confidence as they offer not only the most recent motorcycles, but also the necessary parts, accessories, and mechanical service.

They’re an authorized dealer for Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Suzuki – all of which are well-known industry brands. As a plus for convenience,  they can provide clients with the best selections in one location.

The shop is well-known for selling new motorcycles, but they also have used motorcycle deals (which you can view on their website by the way).

Purchasing a pre-owned bike here may also be advantageous because you can spruce up or modify your bike with them. No need to pull up to another shop just to make upgrades and certain modifications.

About that, we’ve learned that their pricing for used motorcycles is quite high, which is a turn-off. Fortunately, they know a thing or two about securing loans and personalizing payments, so you can still have a stress-free purchasing experience with them.

Another positive aspect of their overall service is their friendly staff. They’re all trained to assist clients with all of their motorcycle needs – ensuring that they are on the right vehicle and protected with the appropriate gear – which earned them extra points from us.

Pros

  • Know dealer of used motorcycle
  • Offers best deals on parts and accessories
  • Approachable and friendly staff
  • Reasonably priced motorcycles
  • Wide range of brand selections
  • Quick and easy transactions

Cons

  • Unlikely to provide new motorcycles

If you’re looking for a great deal on a used motorcycle, Turn Two Motorcycles might help you out. Though not brand new, they have some high-end features – plus the service in this dealer might make it a worthwhile shot.

The shop specializes in the entry-level market and provides some of the best deals on parts and accessories

On top of it all, they also offer bike services. So if you need maintenance and servicing, or even customizations and repairs on your motorcycle, their staff can take care of you.

Speaking of their staff, we find their physical shop to be very welcoming during our visits because of them. They’re not only approachable and friendly, but they display solid knowledge about what they sell.

On top of it all, the owners and staff at this shop are said to develop long-term relationships with their customers, not just make a sale. Though we’re not one to fall for such claims, we’re simply taking their client feedback for their word.

As said, they primarily offer pre-owned motorbikes so you will most likely come across motorcycles that are reasonably priced. To give you an idea, it will range from $4,999.00 to $25,999.00 across all brands: Alta, Benelli, BMW, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, etc.

Finally, we’d like to commend them on their quick and easy transactions – no long lines or wait times. Our assessment shows that if you go to this Portland dealership to buy a part, accessories, or bike, you’ll be in and out in no time.

Pros

  • Specializes in vintage motorcycles
  • Has a rotating inventory of restored and refurbished classic motorcycles
  • New and pre-owned motors also available
  • All inventories are thoroughly inspected
  • Has a specialty repair shop
  • Provides financing

Cons

  • Vintage motorcycles are not covered by financing
  • Minor issue with customer service

For the lovers of vintage motorcycles, Sabatino Moto is a great consideration. The shop is a powersports dealership serving the Portland area, offering new, pre-owned, and, of course, classic motorcycles and other powersports vehicles.

Sabatino maintains a rotating inventory of restored and refurbished vintage bikes, ensuring that everyone, especially collectors, never runs out of antique bikes.

From  Royal Enfield, SYM Scooters, and Royal Alloy, you’ll likely find quality classics and even new bikes in their showroom.

We also appreciate their specialty repair shop, which focuses on classic scooter and moped maintenance. Additionally, they have a large selection of parts and accessories to help you maintain and customize your ride.

All of their motorcycles – whether vintage or new, or used – are thoroughly inspected and come with dependable extended service contracts and a warranty.

These things, of course, give their clients the reassurance that the vehicle they’re purchasing is of high quality. And as suckers for proven quality service, this totally wins us over.

Moreover, this dealership can easily provide financing with low monthly payments. Their finance department makes the process of purchasing motorcycles easy for qualified clients.

However, do note that vintage motorcycles are not covered by financing. It’s obviously a rough note for us, but if you’re looking into vintage vehicles anyway, then we’re assuming the grass is greener on your side.

Overall, Sabatino Moto is an excellent choice for classic motorcycles, as well as having a large selection of new and used motorcycles in Portland. You can even have them ship bikes anywhere in the United States, but this will cost you hundreds of dollars more.

Pros

  • Specializes Ducati dealership
  • Full-service shop with boutique showroom
  • Parts, accessories, and apparel are available
  • Has a helpful and informative website
  • Bike specials and exclusive promos available
  • Reasonably priced

Cons

  • Minor issues with their used bikes

If you’re looking for a Ducati, check out MotoCorsa. They’re a certified Ducati dealer and are even the number one Ducati dealership in North America, with a full-service shop and a boutique showroom full of parts, accessories, and apparel.

We understand how sensitive and complex Ducati motorcycles can be, and it’s a good thing MotoCorsa is an expert on them. Clients even attest to how they handle their bikes with expert precision and quick turnarounds.

During our personal visits to their showroom, we were astounded by the extensive Ducati inventory, which included both new and pre-owned models. If you’re unable to visit their shop, we find their website to be very useful, complete with prices and details.

The shop’s bike specials and exclusive promotions can also be cost-effective, though they are only available to qualified buyers. On the other hand, they’re also proud of their Motorcycle Military Program, which allows active-duty military members to receive credit toward new gear.

Speaking of gears, they also sell apparel and a variety of other brands of merchandise, which is quite clever as well as convenient for their customers. You can check out the product section on their webpage if you’re interested.

Unfortunately, despite our general admiration for them, there have been a few negative comments about how tricky they can be with used bikes. But other than that, any process you may encounter should be as easy as possible.

Pros

  • Offers brand new and new motorcycles
  • Wide selection of bikes from global brands
  • Financing options available
  • Basic services available
  • Trained technicians and friendly staff

Cons

  • Not a motorcycle-focused dealership
  • Occasionally overcharges

Sargent’s MotorSports isn’t a motorcycle-focused dealership, but they’re easily one of Portland’s top brand new and pre-owned motorcycle dealers.

They carry the latest and greatest power products from quality manufacturers. From CFMOTO, KAYO, Kymco, Hyosung, Pitster Pro, SYM, Lance, and Echo Trailers – you can find several global brands in this Portland showroom.

Moreover, this dealership can easily provide buyers with financing with affordable monthly payments. If you need basic service, maintenance, or repair, the store is also great as we saw the level of attention they provide per service.

Besides everything about their motorcycles, we believe you’ll regard them well when we tell you they don’t just have customers from around town. Sargent’s Motorsports has earned the trust of clients from Gresham, Vancouver, and the surrounding area.

We’re not surprised that customers and riders from other areas continue to return because the dealership employs trained technicians with years of experience. And to us, repeat customers are a healthy sign of quality and trustworthy service.

The only drawback we found is, while they offer financing options, there were still reviews indicating that the shop occasionally overcharges. Although it is not a high price, we consider it a disappointment in terms of honesty.
