Pros

  • Performs comprehensive eye exams
  • Offers beverages upon checking in
  • Uses Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
  • Certain services have favorable rates
  • Solid customer service
  • Wide range of eyewear brands available

Cons

  • Certain services aren’t covered with insurance

Myoptic Optometry earned a spot in our list by offering comprehensive eye exams in a well-connected manner. They also earned our favor with their notable customer service which a lot of you will enjoy.

First thing first, the experience here is really something else, quite different from other clinics. For instance, if you’re checking in for an eye exam, they’ll offer you a beverage of your choice (coffee, water, tea, and even beer).

Their eye exams are also comprehensive as the process goes in-depth with your vision’s medical history. On top of that, communicating with their staff is also a breeze as everyone appears friendly and welcoming.

One of the other things we like is the range of equipment they have for diagnosing eye problems. To give you an idea, they have Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) to provide accurate findings for the eye doctor to assess.

The rates are also quite favorable although you really have to prepare a hefty amount for complex procedures. However, some of the services they have aren’t accessible with insurance so do check in with them to see if you’re covered.

Overall, the notable service quality and the range of eyewear products they have is what we love the most. They also deal with patients of all ages, with eye care services specifically tailored to kids.

Pros

  • Wide range of optometry care services
  • Comprehensive adult and pediatric eye exams
  • Partnered with leading brands of contact lens
  • Eye emergency treatments
  • Accepts most vision insurance providers
  • Financing options available

Cons

  • Limited eye frames in stock

Through our interviews and visits, we found that Foster Vision’s optometrists have adequate experience and top-class equipment. We believe that by having all of these, they could provide patients ranging from infants to seniors with the finest eye care.

First things first, they do comprehensive eye exams for an entire family – whether you need a check-up or a back-to-school eye examination. On top of it all, which is what we like the most, is that they can accommodate emergency eye care.

Moving on, they’ve partnered with leading brands of lenses for their eyeglasses (be it clear no-glare lenses, transition lenses, or computer eyewear). The even better news is, you can avail of eyeglasses adjustments for free.

However, we’ve been made aware of their limited frames in stock, and that’s what we’ve noted as their downside. Thankfully, they can pre-order a couple of frame models that you’re interested in, but, honestly speaking, this could take time.

Although we haven’t heard of any comprehensive treatment plans they offer, we’ve learned that they do accept most vision insurance providers. Plus, they have financing options, making it easier for you to access them if you can’t initially afford their services.

Finally, we’ve also been made aware of how good the clinic is when it comes to referring you to another eye professional if they found out that they can’t be of help. This definitely is a plus point in our book under their customer care services.

Pros

  • Practice optometry since 2005
  • Comprehensive eye exams & eyewear prescriptions
  • Large international collection of quality eyewear
  • Operates through a top-of-the-line technology
  • One-year warranty on their products
  • Specializes in treating dry eyes, scleral contact lenses

Cons

  • Issues regarding extra charges

If you are looking for top eyeglass styles, you’ve got to visit The Eye Studio. For your information, they are known in the Portland area for providing high-quality eyewear, scleral lenses, and prescription eyeglasses.

Before anything else, let us mention that their staff has been practicing optometry since 2005. On top of that, they also have sufficient technology in their clinic to diagnose and treat various eye or vision problems.

Speaking of technologies, it’s worth noting that they have with them LipiFlow (for treating dry eyes) and Optomap (for examining the retina). These, at least to our knowledge, are just a few of the advanced equipment the clinic has.

In fact, we take their access to good technology as their advantage since it can detect more than just basic vision problems. With that, they can give you preemptive measures to protect you against more serious health issues, and it’s kind of comforting.

Now, you can enjoy the trendy eyeglasses they provide as they have a wide selection. Much to our surprise, and through the claims of their customers, they basically have a large international collection of quality eyewear.

The only problem we’ve learned is the extra charge they ask their customers just for delivering instructions, say for example on how to put contact lenses, which is just so disappointing. On the brighter side, you can enjoy a one-year warranty on their products.

Pros

  • Wide range of eye care services
  • Experienced optometrists and opticians locally and internationally
  • Appointments under their optometrists are available weekday
  • Accepts walk-ins for frame styling and glasses purchase
  • Refers eye clinic for emergency purposes
  • Vision/medical insurance assistance

Cons

  • Optometry services is by appointment only, no walk-ins
  • Do not assist to emergency eye problem

The thing we like the most about Portland Eye Care is the fact that their optometrists, as well as opticians, have roots in Portland, while at the same time having plenty of influence from around the globe. This helps boost their experience in a diverse clientele.

To begin with, they have a wide range of eye care services: eye exams & glasses, contact lenses, and medical eye care. Actually, they have gained positive feedback on most of the reliable review sites, which just reflects the quality of their eye care services.

Now, since they passed our standards on the quality of their service, we’d like you to take note of other things about them. When it comes to appointments, services provided by their optometrists are available every weekday, as well as Saturday mornings.

On the other hand, no appointment is needed for frame styling and glasses purchases, giving us an impression that they do accommodate walk-ins for this service (a plus point on a matter of convenience). However, it’s the other way around for eye care services.

When it comes to emergency eye check-ups/exams, we don’t think that they could be of great help in this aspect. Fortunately, they can refer you to other offices that can take an urgent solution to eye problems.

Lastly, like most of the clinics nowadays, the clinic can assist you with available vision insurance and medical insurance plans. In fact, they have with them a list of some of the larger insurance plans they can accept, which is quite an assurance.

Pros

  • Known for their thorough eye check-up/exams
  • Practices with the latest Binocular Vision Dysfunction (BVD)
  • Provide eye exams for a wide range of ages
  • Deliver practical solutions to basic problems
  • Easy appointment setting

Cons

  • No vision plans and financing options

For Optik PDX, to give quality optometry care is to be thorough when it comes to doing eye check-up/exams. That’ss why they always give priority to every basic checkup they handle, and their current portfolio says so.

We understand that you need advanced technology to do this, and as a matter of fact, they practice with the latest Binocular Vision Dysfunction (BVD) knowledge. It definitely exceeds our expectations since BVD is cutting-edge eye equipment that provides in-depth vision exams.

Now, talking about their eye exams, it’s actually nice to know that they can provide this to a wide range of ages (adults and children starting at 6 months old). You can basically have them as your go-to optometry all your life.

Sadly, we haven’t found anything regarding the plans they offer their loyal clients, as well as something that can help you with the costs of services. For a clinic that’s really well respected, it quite disappoints us.

Nevertheless, reviews have shown that the clinic is great at delivering practical solutions to basic problems. To be honest, this kind of quality is worth your time, even though they charge high rates even for simple annual exams.

Now, other than their promising optometry services, you can also rely on them for customized lenses and eyewear. We reckon that this is actually the case seeing that they have independent eyewear collections for you to choose from.

Pros

  • Comprehensive Optometry Services
  • High-Quality Eye Care
  • Experienced Optometrist

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays

Parkrose Vision offers a wide range of optometry services, which is why we think it’s a one-stop destination for your eye care needs.

They specialize in services like comprehensive eye exams, specialty contact lenses, and myopia control treatments. This diversity ensures that patients can receive personalized care, whether they need vision correction, treatment, or eye health monitoring.

Their commitment to high-quality eye care is evident in their use of modern optometric technology during eye exams. This allows for thorough evaluations of eye health and vision quality.

They also pride themselves on working with reputable optical labs such as Hoya, Zeiss, Essilor, and VSPONE. We think that this collaboration ensures patients have access to high-quality lenses and frames.

The variety and quality of eyewear options allow customers to find the perfect frames to match their preferences and style as well.

Dr. Haley Kim, a Pacific University College of Optometry graduate, leads the practice. We like her patient-centric approach, where she takes time to listen to their concerns and provide the best quality eye care.

Her extensive knowledge and friendly demeanor create a positive and reassuring experience for patients, and this is why we like going to them.

What’s more is they have a courteous and knowledgeable staff that’s willing to assist patients and provide them comfort.

We highly recommend!
