Of course, this is depending on how large or small the work that needs to be done. Still, same-day fulfillment is pretty impressive.

We’ve noticed that this company also accepts small jobs and considers them as important as large-scale ones. They give each job the same focus and attention to detail. 

Some clients even reported this company finishing much earlier than expected. There were a few instances when it even finished a week earlier than projected. 

Some were also pleased with how friendly the staff is. They said this is one of the things that made them satisfied with their experience. 

However, we were also able to talk to a few who mentioned poor customer service. We think this is a rare occurrence and the specific employee was probably replaced or further trained. 

Overall, the clients we talked to were pleased and said that they recommend this to anyone looking for someone to handle their sandblasting needs. 

Advanced Powder Coating, Inc. has been serving Portland for 10 years now. That degree of experience certainly shows in how many recommendations for them we received in our initial survey.

What makes them stand out the most is they have one of the largest powder coating equipment in Portland. This means that they can powder coat large projects compared to most. 

This caught our eye, so we naturally wanted to know more. We sat down to have a chat with their clients and tried to see what they had to say. 

When asked about what made their experience pleasant, we discovered that this company accepts small jobs. 

A lot of clients we talked to only needed something small done. All of them said that the company made them feel like the work they brought was large-scale. 

This is in terms of how they prioritize them and how keen they were to finish the work. The company never made them feel like they had to take their business elsewhere to be accommodated. 

Speaking of small jobs, they do both small and bulky items because their sandblasting booth is 9’ x 29’ x 13’, which helps them provide more sandblasting projects. 

Another thing we discovered is that this company gives great service to their customers. A lot of people mentioned this and we confirmed it for ourselves while scheduling a project with the company. 

The staff was nice and friendly, and answered all the questions we had had no matter how many. That’s always a good sign.

When we asked the customers what they think needed improvement, some of them thought that the services were overpriced. 

While we think the rates here are average (our own test job was pretty much priced the same as at other places), we think it could also be based on different aspects such as budget and expectations.

Apex Anodizing has been operating since 1994. Since then, they’ve grown their company so they now operate in 3 locations – 2 in different parts in Portland and 1 in Sparks, NV. 

However, they only offer their sandblasting services at their HQ at the address we provided and at NV. 

Speaking of sandblasting, they have a variety of blastic services available. To name a few, they are Glass Beads and Aluminum Oxide. 

We think a lot of people would be interested in this variety. Moreover, they also offer a lot of related services such as R5 Bright Drip, Anodizing, Hard Anodizing, Zinc Planting, Chromate, and Conversion. 

When we had the chance to talk to their clients, we discovered that they mostly go here for affordable pricing. Of course, the quality of the product they received was also up to par. 

We found it quite easy to ask for an estimate on their website. They were also quite responsive, so business transactions with them can be done smoothly. 

There were also some clients we talked to who mentioned that the turnaround time here is pretty slow compared to some. Sometimes, they don’t even provide a project timeline, so customers are left confused. 

We think this is something that they should improve on, but we believe it shouldn’t be a dealbreaker. After all, their services are pretty affordable and their communication is also generally good. 

We think the best thing about taking your business to STB Coatings is that you’ll get workers who are consistent with the quality of their work. 

This is based on several loyal customers we’ve talked to who have come back again and again to this company several times or years. 

The fact that they seem to have so many returning customers is certainly a good sign. People wouldn’t come back to the same service provider if they weren’t satisfied, especially with other options in the area. 

We also discovered that this company provides affordable pricing. We think this is such a catch for the quality of work they put out. 

It’s hard to find a place that’s affordable and yet does the job spectacularly. It may be one of the reasons why clients go back here. 

Additionally, most clients also noticed that the staff who handled their business were all attentive to detail. This could be due to the way the company trains its employees or because of the years of experience those employees have.

There are a lot of reasons why we think this company is remarkable. 

That being said, they still do have some drawbacks. Most important of these is probably the fact that they have a fairly limited range of blasting media available.

Most of their competitors offer a good variety of options, from aluminum oxide to glass beads or even steel grit. STB Coatings offers the most common ones, but if you want more specialized blasting materials, you may need to look elsewhere.

But overall, they have a lot of good points to highlight and several clients that would ensure you’d get the service you deserve.
