Metropolitan Pediatrics has been providing pediatric services for over 20 years across 6 different locations. At this rate, we can definitely tell that they have a lot of experience in their books – so let’s get to know them more!

What makes them a compelling choice for us is the fact that they have over 50 providers throughout the Portland area. This creates a bigger room for options and makes it easier to accommodate both new and existing patients.

In terms of services, you can basically find all standard pediatric services here. To give you an idea, they provide everything from same-day sick or injury care to immunization and sports medicine (specialty area depends on the provider).

Like most clinics, they also have an online powering their patient information access. Through the MyHealth portal, clients can access test results, receive messages from doctors, refill prescriptions, and a lot more convenience perks.

While it’s natural, we did find a couple of complaints regarding certain health providers, with issues ranging from communication to poor patient care. To be fair, it’s really normal, but for peace of mind, most of these issues were reported years ago.

As a final note, we do like to highlight that the clinic has various awards under its name – one sign of its quality services. Even our short online survey reflected the same idea of satisfaction, so we’re confident with what they can deliver at the moment.

Although relatively smaller compared to other clients, Sunset Pediatrics has all the services to meet basic pediatric care. Other than that, they do have certain attributes that make them stand out from the best – and we’ll discuss them with you here.

The clinic only has a small team of 5 providers, all of whom carry extensive experience under their belts. While it can pose issues with patient accommodation, we do think small teams offer a great advantage too.

For instance, many of their clients felt more connected to their provider (as the majority receive one-on-one attention and care). This may be something that you’ll appreciate if you want to work with the provider for the long term or for your future kids.

But just because the clinic has a small team doesn’t mean you or your kid will be missing out on the good stuff. They have all the right equipment to perform tests and integrate intensive care, so they have all the right gear up their sleeves.

Other than that, it’s super easy to communicate with them too as they respond fast to queries. Even wait times are pretty tolerable on busy days (you do have to pack a lot of patience though if waiting in line isn’t really your thing).

Finally, their rates are just as reasonable as any pediatric clinic in Portland, so that definitely wins our favor. And as for convenience, they also have a patient portal which makes information access much easier for the clients.

Brave Care is absolutely one of our favorites when it comes to overall childcare: good location, complete services, and budget-friendly. Let’s comb through all these factors so you can see if this is the right clinic for you and your kid.

The first thing we like to talk about is their space – not only is it spotless and clean, but it’s also very kid-friendly. In our opinion, this is something that’s important in a pediatric clinic because it puts children at ease and more comfortable.

Apart from the positive experience that kids can experience, we also appreciate that they have these tools for parents. For instance, they have this symptom checker online which is a quick way to see whether their kid needs care.

Speaking of care, the clinic offers full services both for primary care and urgent care. Regardless of the type of care, clients can take advantage of same-day appointments and long working hours into the night.

Moving on to rates, their fees are fair and are on a similar scale to other clinics, we have no qualms with that. Plus, they take all major insurances, ensuring that the process is easy and fast for the patient.

Like what you’ve heard with other clinics, they also have Telehealth services that give room for virtual care. The best part is that they have a mobile app for this, so it’s definitely more convenient whenever the parent is across the globe.

If we talk about the most convenient access for medical care in Portland, you may want to consider Sellwood Medical Clinic. They have three facilities in the area, making it easy for your family to acquire their service.

What’s even more exciting about it is two of those are for pediatric care – and are both very safe, friendly, and welcoming environments. That’s why in terms of location, they absolutely won us over (although other clinics do have more locations than them).

Now, in terms of their pediatric care, they certainly, if not exceeded, passed our expectations of them. Their team of pediatricians shares a deep love for kids of all ages, plus their combined experience makes them a good choice to seek their care.

As proof, they have been receiving positive reviews regarding the overall system of their pediatric care – from the consultation process to every check-up and session. This is why we think they have a long list of returning patients under their care.

Getting an appointment, on the other hand, as we’ve heard, was difficult. Although you can book one on their website (the most convenient way), communicating through phone inquiries with their office requires patience.

As per their rates, we were made aware of their high pricing system, but in our opinion, it’s quite reasonable seeing that they’ve been providing full services to kids. They also accept most major insurance providers, so it’s a plus point for us.

East Portland Pediatric Clinic, PC has been caring for children and families since 1952. Thanks to their five board-certified pediatricians, the best possible pediatric care (from birth to adulthood) is within the reach of the residents in the area.

They have a wide range of featured services that includes kids’ immunization, well-child care, and preventive care. Additionally, they also cater to life-threatening emergencies (injuries or illnesses), through their trained advice nurse and on-call pediatrician, so that’s reassuring for us.

Furthermore, we find their online patient portal – My Kid’s Chart – as their edge/advantage. Through this, the parents can have access to their child’s growth chart while also asking non-urgent questions, a very convenient way, in our opinion, of connecting to their clients.

For scheduling of appointments, we reckon they value their client’s time as they make an effort to respond to every inquiry as soon as possible. However, at times, delays are unavoidable but you can still expect to be catered to at a reasonable time.

In addition to that poor note, there were also incidents of clients waiting for their pediatrician in the exam room for at least an hour. This, honestly, is quite an issue on our part, but fortunately, the clinic had made amends in this area of their service.

On a much brighter side, the clinic now does virtual visits for your child’s next pediatric session, in the comfort of your home (through the Anytime Pediatrics app). At the same time, they have after-hours clinics, at an additional fee, obviously.
