The 5 Best Modeling Agencies in Portland
How We Picked
Process
We considered the overall process of the modeling agencies. This includes how responsive they are and how friendly and professional their staff is in handling their talents.
Expertise
We checked their grasp of the industry and their track record for getting things done. We also kept in mind how knowledgeable they are and how long they’ve been in the industry.
Diversity
Modeling agencies who represent different types of models are important, so we chose those who represent models that vary in body type, gender, race, etc.
Atmosphere
We believe that a great environment also plays a factor when judging a modeling agency because these are workplaces where looks and presentation are paramount. We based this on how orderly they are from the surroundings to the staff.

Pros
- 7+ years in the business
- Attentive to detail
Cons
- Social media page needs a revamp
One of the reasons why Savage Models and Management made it to our list of best modeling agencies in Portland is their diversity.
While it is true that the modeling industry is much more diverse compared to how it was years ago, there still needs to be more representation out there.
So, we love how aside from having models of different races, they also seem pretty diverse when it comes to the ages of their models. This is something we don’t see a lot but need and want to!
Their team has decades of experience and we think that’s why they’ve been going strong in the industry for 7 years now.
A lot of their clients have been saying that they commend Savage’s professionalism. They’re very attentive to details, which we think is an important skill to have in the art/entertainment industry.
They also told us that they threw a lot of jobs their way. It looked like this paved the way for the growth in their careers.
What we think could use improvement is their Instagram account. They post a lot of low-resolution photos and as a modeling agency, it’s important to look more credible and professional.
They could also improve their branding a lot more and incorporate the word “Savage” into it. A minor nitpick, but if you’re in modeling, we do think you should be a bit more sensitive to marketing concerns like these for your own agency.
Despite that, overall, we recommend Savage Model and Management to beginners who have no idea where to start. A lot of their clients seem to be budding models and actors, so you know they have a lot of experience when it comes to handling rookies.

Pros
- Excellent portfolio
- Has models sizes 10-20+
- Great reputation in the industry
Cons
- Has very specific qualifications for casting
The Option Agency is the kind of agency that will draw you in because of its thrilling aesthetics and obvious expertise.
As soon as you open their website, you’ll be greeted by the stunning works of the models they represent. Their portfolio is, quite frankly, impressive, which you’ll see if you visit their site yourself.
We received a lot of recommendations for Option too, which we now think isn’t surprising. A lot of their models also told us that a huge amount of their success was thanks to this agency.
Quite a few of the models even mentioned that Option helped them reach their goals because they were provided with the right opportunities.
We suspect this is because of how actively Option promotes their talents to their already existing contacts. It’s also important to find an agency that has wide reach in the industry, so this is a point in their favor.
Moreover, their bookers have a great reputation in the industry. We’ve also received messages from their clients who mentioned how much they trust this agency.
We were also impressed by the diversity of their models in terms of sizes. They even have model sizes 10-20+, which is something you don’t see a lot in modeling agencies.
Unfortunately, there were still some very specific qualifications on their casting page on their website to get scouted. For women, they’re looking for 5’7 and above, and 6’0 above for men.
Even if that’s the case though, they still encourage everyone to submit the needed requirements because there could be a possible exception.
Nevertheless, we think The Option Agency is great at providing unique opportunities that with hard work, could eventually lead to success.
We recommend them to anyone looking for someone to represent them with an existing good reputation.

Pros
- They’ve been in the business for 26 years
- Places their models with top international agencies
Cons
- Might not accept models 5’6” and under
Muse Model Management has been around since ‘96, so you can trust that they already have a roster of contacts and references you can utilize.
Their models have worked with brands such as Adidas, Nike, GAP, Apple, Nordstrom, Reebok, and more.
Muse also sends them internationally to work with top agencies such as Wilhelmina, IMG, Elite, and others.
To be considered, you need to submit the needed requirements to their website. They said that they’re looking for women in sizes 00-24 and men in sizes S – XXL.
There are also height requirements to take note of. It’s 5’7” – 6’ for women and 5 ’11” – 6’3” for men.
They can still be quite strict with their requirements, so they might not be the place to go if you don’t meet them.
We received a few messages from models who didn’t meet their requirements. Muse was quite straightforward with their rejection and depending on the person, this could be a good or bad thing.
Even so, they still helped the models with recommendations of agencies that might accommodate them.
What we like about their process is if they’re interested, you’d hear back from them within 2 business days.
We appreciate how they work fast so that when people don’t hear back from them, they could immediately move on and find another agency.
4. Reaction Models and Talent

Operating Hours: Monday – Friday 9AM – 5PM

⮕Knowledge | 4/5 |
⮕Reliability | 4/5 |
⮕Years active | 4/5 |
Diversity | 4/5 |
Atmosphere | 5/5 |
Pros
- Takes good care of their models
- Responds quickly
- Strives to be inclusive
Cons
- Needs more social media presence
- Has very strict and detailed requirements
Reaction takes care of its models by making sure they are paid on time and that they have everything they need for a shoot. This is something we don’t hear about often, so it was a refreshing message to receive from their models.
The owners are husband and wife whose goal is to help models reach theirs and to help the projects of their clients run as efficiently as possible.
We also received quite a few messages about them responding quickly. We think this is an important attribute to have because communication is important in this industry.
Their previous clients include Google, Starbucks, Sony, Nike, Columbia Sportswear, and more.
They’re looking for someone who can meet the requirements in the specific categories: fashion models, sports models plus models, pdx, and lifestyle models and actors.
It’s quite easy to apply to them, but unlike the other modeling agencies mentioned, they require stricter and more specific requirements.
For example, for female fashion models, you have to be 5’8” and a size 0-6, around 16-22 years old. For men, it’s 6’0 and above, around 17-22 years old.
Lifestyle models and actors have less strict requirements. They’re looking for someone between the ages of 25-75. They say they have extensive needs for this category, so you should try to reach out if you’re interested.
It’s also less strict for men. Aside from being charming, you just need to be around ages 17-75.
While Reaction seems promising, we’ve noticed that they lack social media presence. Their Instagram account, albeit filled with stunning photos, lacks individuality and quality that would make them stand out as an agency.
Because we think this could be easily improved, we still recommend Reaction Models and Talent to anyone looking for a modeling agency that will be with you every step of the way.

Pros
- The people working behind this have decades of experience
- The agency has been around since 1989
- Great social media pages
Cons
- Doesn’t always have open calls
We included Q6 Model and Artist Management in our list of best modeling agencies in Portland because of the years of experience the team has.
Jonny, one of the two owners, has been working for more than 20 years and specializes in model management.
Dorriane, the co-owner, has 25 years worth of experience working in an agency.
Crystal, the agency director, has been exposed to TV and film for 15 years. This includes her experience as a casting director and production and contract management.
Adam, the booking agent, started in 2009 as an artistic director before becoming a casting associate and background casting director for several projects in tv and film.
With an experienced team, you can trust that you’re in good hands.
The other thing that attracted us to Q6 is their Instagram account. It greatly showcases the work of their models and makes them look even more professional and credible.
Most of the messages we’ve received from their previous and current models said that they’re a fun team to work with.
A few mentioned their prompt responses while some expressed their gratitude for them being so reliable.
If you’re someone who’s looking for an agency as soon as possible, they might not be the one for you. They don’t always have open calls unlike the others, so you still have to wait for the chance when you can submit your requirements.
But if you’re someone who’s still planning your next move, we suggest not completely crossing them out of the list.
We think Q6 is perfect for those who are looking for a team with a long and wide range of experiences who can guide them in their careers.
