Dr. Matthew Lewis’ clinic in Portland is one of the more popularly known facilities in the area that conducts plastic surgery. And yes, one of their most sought-after minimally invasive surgeries is their hair transplant, and we are here to highlight why.
It’s vital to have access to advanced technology to conduct such a procedure, and this clinic does deliver. In fact, they use one of the newest and most advanced hair transplantation techniques, which happens to be the Neograft hair transplant.
For a quick overview, this method involves removing individual hair follicles from the back of your head and then implanting them in the balding area.
It might be as simple as the definition, but really, it takes an experienced plastic surgeon to execute it. Fortunately, they have Dr. Matthew Lewis, who already has 12 years of experience.
It’s also worth noting that this clinic is the first one in the city to have NeoGraft 2.0 (the latest version).
For the whole process, we gathered you’ll get a VIP treatment since the whole procedure will be done by Dr. Lewis himself, eliminating additional steps. Oral medication will be given to ensure that patients are relaxed, something we think you’ll find comforting to know.
If this clinic’s hair transplant is what you’re looking for, make sure to schedule an appointment immediately, though. We’ve heard they have a long waiting list (as of this writing), so give them a ring or contact them on their website.

Pros
- 25 years in practice
- Uses advanced technology in hair transplantation (NeoGraft hair restoration)
- Friendly staff and an inviting environment
- Meticulous hair transplant process (from consultation to recovery)
- Offers special financing and convenient monthly payments
- Offers assistance in applying for financing options
- Online booking available
Cons
- Special financing is limited to recommended procedures
From consultation for your needed hair transplantation up until the recovery, The Waldorf Center for Plastic Surgery has a meticulous process for that. They’re very organized, which we definitely appreciate.
One thing that struck us during our visits and interviews was the friendliness of the clinic’s surgeons and staff. The making of treatment plans is also done during the initial consultation with the patients, so that’s surely a plus point in our book for convenience.
Now, the hair transplant procedure with them takes between three and eight hours, which is the usual period of time, so there’s nothing to worry about. Oh, and they also use NeoGraft hair restoration to get superior results.
We also like that they always take good care of their patients even after the hair restoration session. For fast recovery, patients are given a shampoo and/or topical antiseptic that could be a great help for the healing process.
On top of it all, they’re fairly flexible, financially. In fact, they offer special financing and convenient monthly payments.
However, this only applies to the recommended surgical or non-surgical procedures. You might want to clarify if your hair transplant is eligible for the program.
On a much brighter note, they offer assistance in applying for any of the financing options they accredit. Other than the costs, there’s not much more for you to worry about, so we reckon you’ll have a fun (and safe) time here.

Pros
- Led by Board-certified plastic surgeons
- Staffed by experienced medical professionals
- Uses Follicular Unit Transplant Technique for hair transplant
- Hair PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) treatment for hair loss condition is available
- Has a reputation for a clean facility
- Offers seasonal specials
- Amenities for members
Cons
- High pricing system
- Minor issues with customer service
With their customized medical and esthetic treatments, Pearl MedSpa could be a place to go to for your needed hair transplant. The place is led by Board-certified plastic surgeons and staffed by experienced medical professionals – that alone is worth a consideration.
Their two surgical procedures include hair transplants (the other one is smartlipo) done by a surgical hair restoration technique, the Follicular Unit Transplant.
This method is known for getting permanent, natural-looking results. But for the best part, patients would be able to grow their hair back while providing maximum density through this technique.
Another reason why you should consider them is the fact that they’re receiving positive feedback on their facility. Reviews mostly state how satisfied they are with the cleanliness of the facility, although there were a few poor notes when it comes to customer service.
Their pricing system is also not that friendly, even though this procedure isn’t exactly candy-cheap. Fortunately, they offer great specials pretty often such as buy-one-get-one-free, credits for your birthday, or even appointment credits.
You can also consider getting their elite membership, which does come with nice benefits. For example, you can add on different smaller treatments for free, different treatments monthly, and other things if you decide to be a regular.

Pros
- Experienced hair transplant specialist
- Member of American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery
- Uses Follicular Unit Transplant and Follicular Unit Extraction
- Other services include eyebrow hair restoration, facial hair restoration, and hair regrowth therapy
Cons
- Minor issues with customer service
- Pricey
Fallon Hair Restoration landed on this list with its experience and top-quality services. Dr. Fallon himself is a diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery—which already speaks volumes about the service quality here.
They use the two of the best hair transplant techniques available: Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT) and Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE Hair Transplant). That totally exceeded our expectations since most of their competition offer only one of these techniques.
Well, having FUT and FUE in-store also means that they have access to the most advanced technology. So, whatever type of hair loss you have, they do have the solutions for that, which is always a relief for a wide range of hair loss conditions.
But their technology also comes with a great price, since it will cost more than a thousand dollars for a procedure. That said, the good thing about them is that you have the assurance of high-end hair transplantation, which is what matters at the end of the day.
Now, there were some other minor hiccups with this clinic, and they mostly refer to unfriendly customer service. This certainly is something we don’t want you to experience, so we do recommend bringing some patience with you once you reach out to them.
Finally, as the clinic focuses on hair restoration, they also offer some other services here that may be worth mentioning. This includes eyebrow hair restoration, facial hair restoration, and hair regrowth therapy (check out if you’re interested!)

Pros
- Non-surgical hair transplant (Micropoint Link)
- 13 years of experience in hair replacement/extensions
- Hair extension/transplant includes all salon services
- Private salon environment
- Affordable rates
Cons
- Hair transplant is not permanent
For those having a hair loss condition and unwilling to go through surgery for it, Hair Extensions By Kim Wardle in Portland is your solution. They have a nonsurgical hair transplant procedure.
Before anything else, this salon has been performing hair replacement/extensions for the last 13 years. The owner herself is trained and certified in hair loss solutions, and has undergone a nonsurgical hair transplant program.
Speaking of that, this unique process is called Micropoint Link, which actually fills in where other hair extensions can’t. So it is basically perfect and convenient for those who want instant transplantation of hair through hair extensions.
However, as it isn’t much more complex than a surgical hair transplant, the result is not permanent. But it’s still quite life-changing seeing as it could really be a quick solution to a hair loss problem.
Another bit of good news is that it certainly is quite cheap compared to traditional hair transplants. Their prices start at $700 and go up to $1,400 depending on the situation or the amount of hair needed.
It’s also worthwhile to note that all services are offered in private with all the amenities like coloring, trimming, and shaping of hair. Plus, maintenance is applied after the hair grows to a certain point, but that warrants an extra cost.
